In The Return of Antonides by Anne McAllister, Widow Holly Halloran’s fresh start is only a plane ride away, until Lukas Antonides—the man she hates, but has never been able to forget—strides arrogantly back into her life…

Lukas was her late husband’s best friend and openly disapproved of Holly. Then on one unforgettable night their acrimony ricocheted into the bedroom!

Now the arrogant Greek is kicking the hornet’s nest again by offering Holly a job. Holly agrees, determined not to let Lukas get beneath her surface this time. But as the tension mounts between them, so, too, does that bubbling attraction of old…

The Return of Antonides by Anne McAllister was a well written romance with a pleasing story-line and varied emotions. Holly is looking for a fresh start and it definitely does not involve Lukas but fate has other plans for her. I liked her because she was very realistic and mature character. I could understand her grief and unwillingness to trust Lukas. The love-hate angle adds makes the romance really interesting. The transition from love to hate could have been more smoother and believable, it still works. Lukas is perfect as the arrogant, I-will-get-my-own-way alpha hero. I loved how well he matched with Holly and it was such a pleasure to watch them together.

Overall,The Return of Antonides by Anne McAllister is an enjoyable read.
