In The Texas Renegade Returns (Texas Cattleman’s Club: A Missing Mogul #10) by Charlene Sands, Alex del Toro has finally recovered from amnesia and now has a new mission to redeem himself in front of the people he betrayed especially his fiancee, Cara and expose his kidnapper. Though he moved to Royal, Texas, under false pretenses, there’s nothing false about his feelings for the ravishing Cara Windsor—who also happens to be his business rival’s daughter.

18468002Cara is happy and relieved that Alex has finally recovered from his traumatic kidnapping but she is not willing to trust him after the way he betrayed her by hiding his true identity and intentions. Except she has a secret, too—she’s pregnant with his child.

In the final part of the Texas Cattleman’s Club: A Missing Mogul, join Alex and Cara as they finally find their HEA and the mask finally falls off the person responsible for the kidnapping which started it all.

The Texas Renegade Returns by Charlene Sands is a very satisfactory end to the Texas Cattleman’s Club: A Missing Mogul series. It is preferable to read some of the previous books in the series to get a better understanding of the story. There are many tropes in the story like the secret pregnancy track, redemption by the hero etc.

Alex is a strong hero who is out on a mission to regain his fiancee’s love and expose his kidnapper. He wants a second chance with Cara and therefore tries his best to redeem himself. I loved Alex because he fought for his love right from the start and did not react too strongly when Cara’s pregnancy is revealed. Cara is still hurt from Alex’s betrayal and cannot bring herself to trust him again. While I could understand her reasons for not trusting Alex again, I wished she would have made it easier on him when he was trying so hard to regain her love.

The chemistry between the characters sets the pages on fire and makes the romance even more enjoyable. The characters from the previous books make an appearance too. Especially, Gabriella and Chance from What a Rancher Wants by Sarah M. Anderson play an important role in the majority part of this book. The suspense about who was actually behind the kidnapping was not the strong part of the book because it is revealed too early and I was pretty much expecting it because there was a big hint given in the previous book.

Overall, The Texas Renegade Returns by Charlene Sands is a well written and enjoyable romance which leaves you satisfied and happy in the end. A must read for all the fans of Texas Cattleman’s Club: A Missing Mogul.

The end of any series is a sad thing for sure but I am sure you’ll get another new series to enjoy pretty soon after this one.. 🙂
