REVIEW: The Troublemaker Next Door by Marie Harte

The Troublemaker Next Door by Marie Harte is the first book in the McCauley Brothers series. I have read the books out of order, but truly, was never lost in the other books as they stood alone. Well as much as I enjoyed the other books, I have to say, this TTND2book is a 5 alarm fire of hotness to the max.

Maddie Gardner is an independent woman, she needs no one, she stands on her own two feet, pays her own way and never takes handouts. When she quits her job after the boss harasses her, breaks up with her boyfriend because he won’t “man up”, she has sworn off men. That is until she lays eyes on the very hot, very sexy, Flynn McCauley.

Flynn McCauley didn’t know what hit him when he hears Maddie ranting and raving about men, and how much she hates them. The sexy red head has got his juices flowing and now the only thing that he can think of is her, spending time with her, having sex with her, keeping it casual as she requests and just the way he wants it……until he realizes that he doesn’t want casual, he just wants Maddie. Now with the help of his brothers, Flynn will need to help Maddie realize that they are perfect for each other.

What I loved about Maddie and Flynn is that they are polar opposites. Maddie grew up dirt poor, the only child of a young single mother, Maddie never really had alot of friends or family to help her out. Use to depending only on herself, never letting anyone know truly how bad her growing up years were, how they struggled. Flynn grew up surrounded by a loud loving family that sticks together, drives each other nuts and is always throwing their two cents in.

The interaction between the McCauley brothers is roll on the floor funny and little 5 year old Colin is a chip off the old McCauley block. Maddie’s roommates Abby and Vanessa are just as funny. I can’t wait to go back and visit these characters in the rest of this series. I give this book 5 smokin stars.

He can fix her sink, but can he wrench his way into her heart?

Flynn McCauley never thought he’d be so cliché as to fall for the girl next door. But when Maddie calls him over to help fix her faulty sink, he’s a goner. Too bad the fiercely independent interior designer wants nothing to do with him. Even worse, he’s forced to rely on the advice of his nosy brothers—and his five-year-old nephew!—to figure out how to make her give him a shot.

Conveniently, I have this book & the 2nd one, How to Handle a Heart Breaker, out from the library. I thought it looked good. Thanks for the recommendation!
