Uncontrollable by Shannon Richard is a love story for the ages. It’s Uncontrollablerare to find a story where the hero and the heroine can express their emotions without each page revolving around sex. Uncontrollable allows the characters to develop a deep and profound romance through companionship and family loyalty, first and foremost. Don’t worry, the character’s exhibit plenty of sexiness that readers will love!

Beth is a nurse, but she’s also the caretaker to three kids. When her sister died, she became their guardian. I loved Beth. She had so much on her plate, but never once felt like her life would have been easier if she didn’t have those kids. She loves her nieces and her nephew and only wants to do the right thing by them.

“For all intents and purposes Nora, Grant, and Penny had been hers since they’d been born. They were part of her sister…and they were part of Beth.”

Tripp spent six years in the Air Force and now he’s the fire chief. He’s a great hero and is always there when someone needs him. He doesn’t have much time to find love and even if he did, he’s not really looking. It’s just him and his dog until a certain blonde grabs his attention…

Beth is a very strong character who is compassionate and is also an amazing baker. When Beth puts her foot in her mouth with Tripp, her baked goods help her smooth out her relationship with Tripp. But it’s not only her baked goods he’s after!

“It was a whole new experience kissing Beth, the shock to his system setting off a chain reaction in his body. His blood ran hotter, his heart beat faster, his skin felt over-sensitized…stretched too tight and tingling.”

Tripp and Beth have this uncontrollable chemistry. One touch or one kiss isn’t enough. They need each other more than they need to breathe. This relationship that started in anger, turns into something very beautiful, for not only Tripp and Beth, but also for Nora, Grant and Penny.

This was the first book I’ve read from this author and as soon as I finished this, I bought the previous books in this series. I’m a little broke right now, but I know that it was worth it. The author’s writing style was great and her characters were charming, lovable, and made my day! If you’re a fan of contemporary romance, make Uncontrollable your next read!

THE THIN LINE BETWEEN LOATHING . . . AND LUST

It’s been a tough year for Beth Boone. She’s lost the person she cared about the most: her big sister. But Beth isn’t grieving alone. She’s now guardian to her sister’s three children and though she loves them fiercely, so far she’s not exactly winning at parenting. In this noisy, peanut-butter-everywhere chaos, there is no calm. None. So Beth has zero patience with the infuriating guy next door-not to mention his destruct-o “puppy”-wreaking more havoc in her life.

Except that Tripp Black is all muscles, deep brown eyes, and lips that promise way-too-delicious things. Every time Tripp and Beth confront each other, there’s an undercurrent of red-hot sexual tension, one that threatens to break down all her carefully constructed walls. She’s been burned before, and Tripp is a self-proclaimed bachelor for life. There’s no way that Beth’s too-hot-neighbor-from-hell could ever be the man for her-until their uncontrollable attraction becomes so much more . . .
