Valentine Charms by Anne McAllisteris a sweet novella friends to lovers book that pits the two most unlikely characters together. But as you find out in the end, they are the most suited characters to receive a HEA, and there are 23 second grade students that will hole heartedly agree. This is the story of Jane and Zack.

Jane Kitto is a second grade teach at the same elementary school that she attended when she was a little girl, St. Phil’s. She loves being a teacher, and her class loves her too. But they especially love the charm bracelet that Miss Kitto has, and the wonderful secret admirer that sends her beautiful charms every Valentine’s Day. When Miss Kitto breaks her engagement, the class is on a mission to find her a new love, and who better than the amazing famous, super handsome Zack Stoner.

Zack Stoner also attended St. Phil’s, but he was no saint. He was more of the sinner and all around trouble maker. But one thing that he never forgot about his time in school, was the sweet little second grader that gave him a tissue and showed him kindness. Now she is all grown up and Zack will do whatever it takes to win her heart.

What I loved about this story is the Jane and Zack each had a secret crush on the other, but neither wanted to admit it. The more time that they spent together, getting things ready for the anniversary celebrations of St. Phil’s, the more they got to know one another and the harder they fell. The secret of who sends the charms is revealed and I have to admit, I was as shocked as Jane was. A sweet HEA wrapped in an amazing little story.

Twenty-three second graders were on a mission!

Her students were convinced Jane Kitto needed a man in her life. A ‘real man’ – not the Secret Admirer who had, every Valentine’s Day for years, sent her a tiny charm. Jane appreciated their enthusiasm, but not their choice. Football star Zack Stoner was the last man on earth she’d fall for. Handsome as sin, tough as nails, and more appealing than she wanted to admit, Zack made Jane want things she never imagined wanting–with him.

Zack Stoner had never forgotten Jane. When they were younger, he’d been confused, unnerved and fascinated by the sweet and generous Jane. It wasn’t all that different now, except he was a man, and knew he wanted her. But would Jane take a chance with someone like him?

Twenty-three cupids said yes.
