Valentine Kisses (The Moore Sisters of Montana Book 2) by Ann B. Harrison (Feb 5) was so sweetly satisfying that I ran out to one click book 1. The great thing is that this book can be read as a stand alone. A sweet romance with a HEA set in an amazing small town. This is the story of Bella and Jake.

Bella Moore is a world famous chef. After winning a cooking competition, book deals and television shows soon followed. But Bella being from a small town, she runs into problems when it comes to dating, not knowing who she can really trust. When she is on a one way track to crash and burn, her manager sends her home on a 6 month break, demanding that she takes it easy. When she arrives home, she jumps at the chance to help her sister, cooking for the hotel when she finds out that the cook is quitting. What she never counted on was the deep attraction that she would find to her own personal hero, the town Fire Chief, Jake Woods.

Fire Chief Jake Woods lost his wife to cancer years ago. He is raising his son on his own, with the help of his father. What is does not have time for is romance and relationships. He barely has enough hours in the day to take a minute for himself. But when he meet Bella Moore, it might be time to rethink his no relationship mantra.

The more time that Jake and Bella spend together, the more they want to see where this attraction will take them. But when Bella needs to retape the last show if the season, and Jake gets a good look at Bella’s world, he wonders what a small town Fire Chief really has to offer a woman like Bella. And Bella will need to make some decisions because the longer she is home, the more she wants to throw away everything that she ever thought that she wanted in order to settle down in the only place she feels at piece.

What I loved about Bella and Jake is that they are really very similar. They are both workaholics, they both push themselves to the point of exhaustion, but they are also protective of the other. When Bella’s producers try and exploit Jake, Bella goes swinging. When Bella is pushing herself too hard, Jake rides in to give her calm and peace. I loved them as a couple, and I love the way that they just fit as a family, with Jake’s son and his father right in the middle of the mix. An amazing story. I cannot wait to ready the next story in this amazing series.
