When I Need You by Lorelei James: The last year has been pretty tough for Jensen. He is a star tight end for the Minnesota Vikings coming off of a great season when he suffered injuries that took him out of the game. Between surgeries, physical therapy, and the forced time off, he’s had to re-evaluate his life. He certainly used to live up to his star player status on and off the field, but now he’s questioning his life and what he would do if he can’t return to the game he loves.

For Rowan, cheering and dancing have been her life. She’s been a cheerleader throughout high school and college, and now she cheers for the Vikings in addition to working as an athletic trainer with the University of Minnesota. When she’s not cheering, she’s devoted to being the best mom she can be to her adorable son.

Jensen is surprised to learn that Rowan is suddenly his next door neighbor. The stunningly sexy redhead with the fiery nature to match has no problem putting him in his place. The attraction is immediate, but any relationship between them would cause Rowan to lose her place on the Vikings squad due to a no fraternization policy. Both also have strict rules when it comes to dating, and they violate each and every one of each other’s rules.

“So you think I’m charming?”
Rowan crossed her arms over her chest. “My mom thinks you’re charming.”
“But I bet she heard it from you, ergo, you think I’m charming, Coach.”
“Full of yourself much, Lund?”

But as they get more involved in each other’s lives and develop a good friendship, they start to see the person and not just the stereotype. Jensen knows that Rowan is special and different, so he’s persistent yet patient when it comes to pursuing her.

“As if I ever had a chance of ignoring you,” she retorted.
My body language said, “Is that a bad thing?” even when I remained quiet.
“And I don’t know what to do with it, okay?”
“I could give you a hint.”

When I Need You is a sexy, engaging, and entertaining story that hooked me from the first chapter. Lorelei James continues to delight with witty banter, strong characters, and oh so hot chemistry in a series that gets better with each book. Ms. James created a fantastic family in the Lund’s who are supportive, loving, and loyal. When I Need You can be read as a standalone in the Need You series. Fans of Julie James and Jennifer Probst will enjoy When I Need You.

Rules are tossed aside when a pro football player join forces with a spitfire cheerleading coach in New York Times bestselling author Lorelei James’s brand-new romance…

Heir to Lund Enterprises and ladies’ man Jensen “The Rocket” Lund has three conditions when it comes to dating:
1) No single mothers
2) No cheerleaders
3) No medical personnel
So it makes no sense that he’s wildly attracted to Rowan Michaels, who breaks all three.

Rowan Michaels didn’t pass the rigorous requirements to become an athletic trainer and Vikings cheerleader in the hopes of landing a pro athlete: been there, done that, and she has a young son as proof that football players and fidelity don’t go hand in hand. When Rowan learns her new neighbor is Jensen Lund, the smoking-hot tight end who takes being neighborly to a whole new level, she’s grateful for the team’s strict “no fraternization” policy because the sexy man defines temptation.

But Jensen is intent on rushing straight to the goal line to prove to Rowan he’s much more than just a player…on and off the field.

The theme of this book looks interesting. I’m more of a movie guy, but a few books wont hurt, especially if it involves romance.

I read one of the books in this series, I forget the title but it was with Walker Lunde and Trinity, I think. Anyway, I really liked it and I definitely need to read more. Glad you really liked this one.
