Beach, Books & Bikini’s Monokini’s

sarasmusing

Summer is almost here…almost! I can feel it, I can sense it and I am getting giddy 🙂

There is nothing more relaxing to me that a lazy summer day spent reading at the beach, listening to the waves hit the shore… It’s Paradise in the making!!!

Living 12 miles from Pacific coastline, I have really no excuse for not hitting the Sun, the surf and the sand every summer weekend. This is also the time of the year when I start looking for new beachwear which is how…I stumbled upon the Monokini’s

What is a “Monokini” you ask?

I think it is a cross between a bikini and a one piece. It’s sexy, it is fun… a perfect solution for someone like me. Is this whole Monokini’s idea a new beachwear trend?

At-least it is new to me! Do you own one? Would you wear one?

As you might know we don’t do product reviews on HJ, but when the PR manager for Leonisa approached me and asked if I would be interested in doing a beach wear giveaway for my readers…I had to stop and think about it but after I checked out their Swimwear collection, I was quite impressed with their Monokini’s collection and decided to take them up on their offer of a Giveaway.

I figured if I included a book with this giveaway I could make it work 😉

Here are some of my Fav’s

Swin

One lucky HJ reader will win A sheer cover-up perfect over any swimsuit! It’s the perfect beach dress with its sheer lace design.

“Let the soft breeze run through this tank dress to keep you cool and stylish. Wear it for strolls along the coastline or for more coverage to and from your favorite waterside destinations.”

I love the first one, I think monokini’s are SEXY. I dont own one.. Me personally wouldnt wear one, I dont like to show a lot of skin

  2. janinecatmom

I really do like that monokini. It’s a cool concept, But no, I wouldn’t wear one. I won’t wear any swimsuit because I’m too overweight and self conscious of my body.

  3. Lori Meehan

I hate bathing suits. I only wear one because I would look crazy in the pool with my cloths on.

  4. mrsmac19

The suits look nice, but I’m more of a tankini girl myself. I was a one-piece for years, but I’ve embraced the tankini. I don’t own a monokini, but I’m not necessarily opposed to it. I wear my bathing suit a couple of times a year, so they seem to last a while.

  5. DebraG

I would need to lose some weight before I put one one but I do like them.

  6. tori

thnks for the giveaway. and i agree with the commit above need to loose some weight lol

  7. msrh0nda

The swimwear is very stylish. I’m more comfortable in a one piece. The monokini is new to me but I think it would look great on certain body types.

  8. Jennifer Zorko

They are all cute. I like the one piece ones. I could not get away with a two piece. Thanks for the chance.

  9. Erika

I love the sets above especially the halter bikini. I haven’t worn anything but a bikini for years. I’d wear a tankini but just don’t own one. Thanks for the chance to win!

  10. Cari White

The reversible halter bikini is darling. I wear either a one piece or a tanking when out swimming or at the beach. You do not want to see my 46-year-old, overweight body in anything else on the beach or swimming. Trust me!

  11. Glenda

The monokini looks like something I might wear if I found the right one and if I had to be in a swimsuit in public. 😉

  12. Inga

The monokini and tankini are cute. I don’t have a suit yet, but one of these would be in the running along with a vintage one piece. And a bikini has to be in the mix, too.

  13. Mel

They all look great but not on me. The onepiece ones are cool but the others, they’re too revealing so not for me.

  14. Leanna

I like tankini’s best. I think I may try a monokini. I have never seen them before.

  15. Kai W.

I prefer the one-piece bathing suit. I would need to lose some weights to wear a bikini.

  16. Linda

If I had a great physique like those models I wouldn’t mind wearing anything! The monokinis are really nice.

  17. Laurie G

Oh I so want some warm weather to be able to go outside and play, swim read in the sun.

I wear a one piece bathing suit because I swim for exercise. I do like the idea and look of a monokini and I would wear one for swimming laps and for fun.

All the models look fantastic! I like the tankini too. Bikinis are not for me at this stage of my life.

I love the coverup top! I would wear it all the time. Gorgeous!

I love the first one piece shown above and the monokini!

  18. Michelle Harlan

I like the swimwear collections & think they’re a great idea. If my daughter were old enough to want a bikini, I’d suggest this instead. Would I wear the monokini? Nope. I don’t wear suits though, because I don’t go in the water. If I did own a suit, it’d be one of those with a tank top style top and a pair of the swim shorts.

  19. ndluebke

I perfer the one piece, tho its been a lot of years since I’ve had an opportunity to wear that. I liked the first one you showed.

  20. Krysten M

Hm, I think tankinis are my favorite, but I’d be ok with the new monokini too 🙂

  21. Kate I.

All of the swimwear is lovely, but I didn’t see any options for two pieces *of different sizes*. The lower half of my body is fuller than the upper, so my preference would be the coverage of a tankini with the benefit of being able to separately purchase a smaller top and larger bottom. I don’t think I’ll ever wear a monokini because the cutouts would seem to expose areas of my bod that I’d rather not draw attention.
