Today it is my pleasure to Welcome author Kate Hewitt to HJ!

Hi Kate and welcome to HJ! We’re so excited to chat with you about your new release, The Marakaios Baby!

Hi Sara! Thanks for having me here again!

Please summarize the book for the readers here:

The-Marakaios-Baby-The-Marakaios-Brides-2This is a marriage of convenience story with a twist!

Please share the opening lines of this book:

‘Will you marry me?’

The question seemed to echo through the room and bounce off the walls as Marguerite Ferrars stared in shock at the face of the man who had asked her the question–her lover, Leonidas Marakaios. He gazed at her with a faint half-smile quirking his lips, his eyebrows slightly raised.

Please share a few Fun facts about this book…

  • I wasn’t planning on writing Leo’s story until I finished the first in the duet, The Marakaios Marriage, and realized I was intrigued by him!
  • Margo’s Paris apartment is my dream house 🙂

If your book was optioned for a movie, what scene would you use for the audition of the main characters and why?

The first scene of the book because it’s a doozy–Leo proposes to Margo and she refuses him. His revenge is passionate…

What do you want people to take away from reading this book?

That second chances are always possible and love never fails.

What are you currently working on? What other releases do you have planned for 2015?

I am on vacation at the moment but next up is a Christmas novella that is the prequel to a new series I am writing set in Upstate New York.

Thanks for blogging at HJ!

Yes I love them. I also love how everything comes together when they finally realize that they love each other

  2. Jo-Anne Boyko

I like reading marriage of convenience stories because the relationship starts off cold but always heats up to where the couple likes/loves each other.

  3. Kim

I love marriage of convenience stories because I get to see a couple develop after taking that step.

  4. Suzanne

I love marriage of convenience books. Many romance books end with ‘they get married” but I love it when the marriage happens at the beginning. I get to have the whole relationship for the whole book! The hero and the heroine must make the “done deal” work out.

  5. Jen

I like how the relationship develops and matures as the characters get to know each other.

  6. rlr888

I do enjoy them! It’s an interesting perspective where they think they are doing it for some reason, but then end up falling in love with each other after the fact.

  7. Kermitsgirl

I do! I like watching the love grow between two people who wouldn’t have considered each other otherwise.

  8. Amanda Gardner

I like Marriage of Convenience stories because you can see the relationship change over the course of the book either from hate(revenge) to love or a business arrangement to love
