A Time to Heal by Linda Goodnight, a novel about second chances and forgiveness, is a beautiful read. I didn’ t realize it was actually released nearly ten years ago, as it showed up as a new release on the Harlequin site.
Dear Santa: Nancy Naigle always writes the cutest stories. Her holiday themed stories are especially well done and are quickly becoming an annual tradition for me. In her latest holiday release, the author writes a charming and emotional retelling of “You’ve Got Mail’. The lighthouse-come-Christmas store ‘The Heart of Christmas’ has […]
Maybe For You by Nicole McLaughlin: Emotional and sweet! Alex lost her fiancé, Nathan, in a helicopter crash right before their wedding. In need of a change of scenery, Alex accepts an overseas deployment in Italy. She’ll have a year to pull herself together without everyday reminders and outside of the […]
His New Amish Family: Patricia Davids is one of those authors, whose books I cannot ever get enough of! And the families and characters in the Amish Bachelors’ series feel like old friends. In “His New Amish Family”, Clara and her young children are grateful when her uncle’s will names […]
In The Firefighter’s Twins by Heidi McCahan, readers are introduced to Natalie, who is juggling the responsibility of managing her family’s farm and its many offerings, along with trying to grow her wedding planning business and unique barn venue. She meets Shay, a new firefighter in town, when he and […]
Hidden Away by Sharon Dunn: Wow! Hidden Away most definitely lives up to its genre as a romantic suspense. This was a page turner! Isabel is enjoying her new job preparing vacation homes in Colorado for their owners. She’s trying to create a new life for herself after being sucked […]
Her Family’s Defender by Kim Findlay: I always enjoy reading books by authors whose work I have not yet read, and Her Family’s Defender by Kim Findlay was no exception. Ms. Findlay weaves a touching and enjoyable story about a Stanley Cup recipient hockey player who befriends a single mother […]
Reunited by a Secret Child by Leigh Bale: Reese, a hotshot firefighter, has come home to the small town where he grew up, while he tries to put his life back together after his fellow firefighters have all perished. He is welcomed back to town by Katie, who always secretly […]
Saving the Single Dad by Cheryl Harper really touched a chord deep inside me. I believe because of its theme of “second chances”, and because throughout the story, there was such an emphasis on forgiveness, on really learning who people are beneath the surface- and not judging people by their pasts.
The Wedding Quilt Bride Marta Perry is such a gifted writer, and I enjoy both her romances for Love Inspired, as well as her longer in length Amish novels. In “The Wedding Quilt Bride”, Rebecca, newly widowed, comes home to her parents from Ohio where she lived with her husband […]
