In 200 Harley Street: Surgeon In A Tux by Carol Marinelli, Lizzie Birch is the new head nurse at the Hunter Clinic which is renowned for its reconstructive surgeries. The clinic caters to the needs of the rich and famous by giving them the best results with complete privacy. Lizzie knows she doesn’t belong in the luxurious world of Hunter Clinic which defies the conventional clinic in every way but she needs the job. Her first day is as unconventional as it could get and also the first time she meets her new boss–Renowned plastic surgeon Leo Hunter who has sacrificed everything to restore the Hunter Clinic to its former glory.

SIATLeo is a legendary playboy who carries off his scrubs like his tux and is always sighted with a glamorous woman on his arm. Hiring Lizzie is not his choice but his brother Ethan refuses to rejoin Hunter Clinic if she is not hired. The prim and überefficient new head nurse is very different from the women he has known. She’s the first woman in a long time who is resistant to Leo’s intoxicating charms. And it might break all his rules, but Leo can’t resist the challenge of unbuttoning the intriguing Lizzie!

Surgeon In A Tux by Carol Marinelli kicks off a new medical series–200 Harley Street which explores the world of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. This book is about Leo Hunter who happens to own the exclusive Hunter Clinic where the other stories in the series will be set. This story sets a great base  and starting point for the series as all the characters from future books are introduced and we get a look into their characters.

Lizzie Birch is a new addition to the Clinic and it is very informative to see the same through her POV. She is a great heroine because she supports her parents even after facing so many difficult situations and she is easy to relate to. I found her sensible, mature, quiet and a great foil to Leo’s playboy antic’s. Leo is the quintessential playboy at the start of the book but the reader gets to know about the various dimensions to his character as the story goes on. I liked Leo too because he was caring and had a great deal of respect towards Lizzie. The secondary characters are also enjoyable and have their own story in the coming books.

The story is full of drama and there is something unconventional going on every page. The medical scenarios given were not new for me but their interesting presentation made them enjoyable. The romance is a little slow paced and starts out with building a connection between the characters through conversations.

Overall, Surgeon In A Tux by Carol Marinelli is a well written, enjoyable medical romance. With lovable characters and an interesting plot line, this book makes me even more excited for the upcoming books in 200 Harley Street.
