In 200 Harley Street: The Shameless Maverick (200 Harley Street #7) by Louisa George, Junior surgeon Kara Stephens and Irish surgeon Declan Underwood shared an out of the world kiss at the annual hospital ball but things TSMbetween them turned awkward soon and both of them started avoiding each other to ignore the attraction between them.

Things are about to change for both of them as Kara has been assigned her first high-profile case to help an injured princess and she is working with Declan! Declan’s notoriety with women is rivaled only by his reputation as the best reconstructive surgeon around. But his glamorous life in London is a far cry from his poverty-stricken childhood, and Kara’s about to discover that there’s more to her charismatic maverick than meets the eye….

200 Harley Street: The Shameless Maverick by Louisa George is the seventh book in the Harley Street series and can be easily read as a standalone. This was a well written romance with likable and warm characters. Both Declan and Kara have a past which defines their futures and they both are not looking for love due to the same. Kara is a widow and has come to Harley Street from Australia for a fresh start. Declan had a poverty stricken childhood and has faced many problems to achieve success. There is a lot of explanation given on Declan’s family and how they effect him. It provided a better outlook on his past but was a bit unnecessary at times. The medical details are good but not in abundance as I generally prefer. The romance is enjoyable because the characters share an amazing chemistry.

Overall, 200 Harley Street: The Shameless Maverick by Louisa George is a well written and enjoyable medical romance about finding love when you thought it was going to elude you forever.

Great news – if she wasn’t working with hotshot Irish surgeon Declan Underwood, the man she kissed at the hospital ball! Declan’s notoriety with women is rivaled only by his reputation as the best reconstructive surgeon around.
