An Heir to Make a Marriage by Abby Green is a well written romance which reminded me so much of the older harlequins because of the characters and the story line.

Zac is a cynical alpha male leaning towards the cruel side. He had trust and commitment issues because of his past and it took him a lot of time to realize his love towards Rose. I did not like him too much because I as a rule don’t prefer overly alpha heroes who tend to be a jerk because of their excessive emotional baggage. Rose is a sweet and caring heroine who is under great pressure to arrange funds for her father’s operation. She was also an innocent in every way possible and reminded me lot of Cinderella.

The romance is intense because Rose and Zac have an amazing chemistry with some really good scenes. They do go back and forth a lot of times but it never appears to be tiring due to the smooth pace of the story. A villian is also added to the mix to add in more spice and the ensuing drama adds a good amount of angst to the story.

Overall, An Heir to Make a Marriage by Abby Green was an enjoyable romance which would be loved by everyone who is a fan of traditional Harlequin Presents.
