babyforkeepsIn Baby for Keeps by Janice Maynard, Dylan life changes when Mia enters his bar with a baby. Back in high school, Mia helped him a lot despite his crappy attitude and therefore he decides to help her by giving her a job and room to stay in his own house. With the sizzling chemistry between them as strong as ever, will Dylan manage to keep Mia and little Cora at just arm length.

Dylan is a successful, eligible catch, but are Mia’s feelings just a case of hero worship? Or will she still need him, still want him, once her circumstances change?

Baby for Keeps was a well written sweet romance. Mia and Dylan luck has been reversed in the present times. Back in high school Mia was the star student who was helping Dylan and now he is the one who is helping Mia in her difficult times. The conflict of the story was with Mia not wanting to stay in town forever because she felt it did not allow her to do what she really wanted and Dylan thinking he was not the best man for Mia and her daughter Cora. Dylan was a likable hero who recognizes what Mia did for him and therefore repays his debt. Mia was a rather docile heroine and I did not find her as feisty as I expected. She was a sweet heroine overall.

Overall, Baby for Keeps by Janice Maynard is a sweet and enjoyable romance. The way it ended could have been better but overall it was a good story.

She helped him when they were young, and the bachelor means to do everything in his power to protect Mia and her child. Giving her a job, a room under his own roof, is easy. Keeping it all about business isn’t…. Dylan is a successful, eligible catch, but are Mia’s feelings just a case of hero worship? Or will she still need him, still want him, once her circumstances change?
