Down Too Deep by J. Daniels: Nathan is drowning in guilt and struggling to move past his wife’s death. It’s been two years, but it’s all he can do to hold himself together. He’s ashamed that he’s thrown himself into work and barely knows or spends time with his precious daughter, Marley. But things are changing and Nathan has to figure out how to be a father…and quick.

Jenna loves being a mother. She loves her twins and having a really flexible job that allows her to spend a lot of quality time with them. She has mostly figured out how to be a single parent, but she would love to have a relationship at some point. Dating has been a total disappointment, but at least she has her brother and a great group of friends.

Nathan and Jenna have an interesting first encounter. She definitely takes him by surprise, both by how they met and by his immediate attraction to her. Both are surprised when Jenna impulsively offers to babysit for him over the summer, but it’s the lifeline he needed. It’s the wake-up call Nathan needs, as Jenna gives him advice, calls him on his crap, and gives him insight into his own daughter.

“Okay, shorty. What’s the wager? Aside from bragging rights…”
Her gaze narrowed. “I’m not that short.”
“You’re very short.”
“I’m five three and a half.”
“Yeah, that’s short.”
“I’m average-ish.”

Nathan and Jenna quickly form a friendship as they see each other pretty much daily. It helps that all the kids get along really well and enjoy spending their days together. Nathan and Jenna look forward to seeing each other, in addition to seeing their respective kids, and veer into a flirtation. There’s definitely chemistry, but both are cautious about acting on it. She helps him be the father he wants to be and he is great with her twins.

“Do you have any idea how badly I’ve been waiting to take you out? Seriously, Jenna, I plan on dating you so much, you’re going to get sick of it.”
“Doubt it.” I winked at him.
His hands flew dramatically to his chest. “Is that what it feels like to be winked at?”
“Every time.”

Down Too Deep is emotional, heartwarming, and sexy. J. Daniels developed a thoroughly engaging story that I didn’t want to put down. Ms. Daniels created an entertaining cast of characters, especially in the kids who will melt your heart. Fans of Christina Lauren, Penelope Ward, and Vi Keeland will love Down Too Deep.

Fans of Christina Lauren and Colleen Hoover will love this sexy and emotional fourth book in the New York Times bestselling Dirty Deeds series.

Following the sudden death of his wife, Nathan Bell has spent nearly two years burying himself in work and neglecting his biggest responsibility: his daughter. Overcome with guilt, he wants to connect with little Marley, but he doesn’t know how to do it alone. And then Jenna Savage throws him a lifeline.

A single mom of twins, Jenna is more than capable of taking care of Nate’s adorable two-year-old, and wants to help Nathan however she can. Soon, attachments are made, forcing Jenna and her kids into new territory. And the closer everyone becomes, the more right it feels.

Falling in love forces Nathan to face his biggest fear, and when hearts, both big and little, are on the line, the only thing scarier than needing someone is losing them all.
