In From Duty to Daddy Sue MacKay, Army medic, Marshall Hunter has never been able to get beautiful Charlie Lang out of his head. Their unforgettable fling could have turned into something more beautiful but his commitment to the forces ended his relationship with Charlie. After two years, he is still unable to pass up one last opportunity to see Charlie again. Except the 18792771little girl playing in her garden proves that she’s been able to move on even if he hasn’t. Only, Charlie has a life-changing surprise in store for Marshall.

His heart ached. For the beauty. For Charlie. For the fact he had to leave at the end of next week. The army and his men awaited him.

From Duty to Daddy Sue MacKay was a cute little medical romance with an equally cute cover. I usually don’t pay so much attention to the cover because most of the time they don’t reflect the story but this one was different because the cover really summarizes what the story is all about. Charlie and Marshall were both multi dimensional characters who had so much to like. The medical details were enough and well written. I would have liked a little more focus on the lead characters than other side characters but that’s just my personal choice. If you like the inclusion side characters to a greater extent in a romance than you may like this.

Despite her tiredness, she suddenly felt free of all the worries of the last two years. Free of the need to try and make Marshall see things from her point of view. If commitment wasn’t on his agenda, so be it. She’d find another way to make it work for Aimee.

Overall, From Duty to Daddy Sue MacKay is a cute medical romance about second chances at love. With a focus more on the emotional side than on the physical.
