Helios-Crowns-His-MistressIn Helios Crowns His Mistress by Michelle Smart, It’s public knowledge that Crown Prince Helios is bound to marry the princess of Monte Cleure, but will the discovery of his secret lover, Amy Green, shatter the kingdom? Legally, Helios must wed someone of pure royal blood. So the question remains: Will he do as duty commands, or will he risk his crown to marry his mistress?

Helios Crowns His Mistress is a complicated romance filled with angst and dilemmas. Helios is engaged to someone else when he starts an affair with Amy. Personally I could not get over the fact that he was cheating someone. I understand that he was bound by the rules of royalty which made it difficult for him to break it off with his fiancee but he was too casual regarding cheating . I liked Amy because she did try to do the right thing and leave Helios after discovering his impending marriage. She too was caught between her feelings for Helios and the right thing to do. Their forbidden romance did add a tinge of excitement to the story but it was difficult to get over Helios attitude. Overall,an enjoyable romance for everyone who loves the forbidden romance trope.

I’m not crazy about the cheating either, but it could still be a good read. Thanks for the review

Can’t stand cheating in stories – especially when it’s treated casually by someone who is supposed to be the hero! Thanks for the warning 🙂
