Priya in Heels by Ayesha Patel: Priya Patel is finishing up her medical residency at one of Houstan’s busiest emergency departments. She has always been the epitome of an obedient daughter and therefore reluctantly she agrees to marry a nice Indian boy 22739062as per her parents choosing but destiny has other plans for her when Tyler O’Connor enters the ER with a sprained ankle.

Tyler O’Connor has been infatuated with Priya since she treated his sprained ankle in the ER, and after saving her from a brutal attack, he can’t get her out of his head. But when Priya puts her family’s wishes before their relationship, agreeing to an arranged marriage with another man, Tyler is devastated.

Can love conquer the cultural differences and will Priya go against her parents wishes and choose Tyler?

Priya in Heels by Ayesha Patel is a interracial contemporary romance /chick-lit. The premise is good and the story starts off great but tends to drags a little in the middle. There is loads of drama and the main conflict is of course the big cultural divide between the characters. Marriages are a big deal in India and therefore I could understand why it was not easy for Priya to break off her arranged marriage easily and get her parents to accept Tyler. I could not connect with Priya that well because at times, using slangs like “hooker” etc for your friends is clearly not a cool thing, especially when the tone appears to be more judgmental than sarcastic and funny. Tyler is a sexy, hot hero but at times he also says really mean things to Priya, which are just not acceptable. The best part of the story was the depiction of Indian culture, the clashes and the drama.

Overall, Priya in Heels by Ayesha Patel is a enjoyable romance on how love does manage to conquer all.

Love doesn’t conquer all…does it?

Priyanka Patel is the epitome of an obedient daughter. She’s finishing up her medical residency at one of Houston’s busiest emergency departments, and has agreed—albeit reluctantly—to marry the man her family has chosen for her. The only thing that can derail the “perfect” life laid out before her is the sexy musician down the hall who wants into her life…and into her bed.

Tyler O’Connor has been infatuated with Priya since she treated his sprained ankle in the ER, and after saving her from a brutal attack, he can’t get her out of his head. When Priya puts her family’s wishes before their relationship, agreeing to an arranged marriage with another man, Tyler is devastated.

But love is fierce and unreasonable and clashes with the carefully sculpted life her parents want for her. Is going after her heart such a big deal, or will it truly unravel Priya’s world?
