The Husband She’d Never Met by Barbara Hannay: Sometimes grief The-Husband-She’d-Never-Metmakes us do things that we normally wouldn’t dream of and sometimes it’s the dreams that bring us back to reality.

Carrie and Max Kincaid had had a wonderful marriage for two and a half years. Then all of a sudden something changed. Max couldn’t put his finger on it but he knew it had to do with her last trip to Sydney. Then one day she was gone, not too much longer there was a phone call and Carrie was in the hospital and couldn’t remember anything. Would this accident give them a chance to rekindle their romance that was once so strong? Or when Carrie’s memory came back would they be back on the outskirts again?

Ms. Hannay has provided her readers with a quick amnesia read in this novel. It’s well written and has several plot twists that do leave the reader questioning and wanting to continue reading to figure out the ending. There is also a side story that both complicates and intrigues as well. Carrie and Max are well written and easy to like while being given some very real downfalls and flaws.

The Husband She’d Never Met by Barbara Hannay is an emotional read with very little heat and some relatable romance.
