In The Unwanted Conti Bride by Tara Pammi, If Sophia Rossi wants to save her father’s The-Unwanted-Conti-Bridebusiness, then merging the Rossi and Conti empires is the only way. Luca Conti broke her heart once before, but this time Sophia’s in the driver’s seat. Except Luca can still make her body tremble with just a look!

Luca has spent years cultivating his Conti Devil reputation to mask the darkness he inherited from his father, a facade that Sophia should be all too familiar with. Still, the shrewd businessman can see the benefits of her proposal… He might not want her as his bride, but he’ll enjoy having her in his bed!

I loved The Unwanted Conti Bride because of the characters and its story line which had so many great themes.

Sophia is an amazing heroine because she is independent, focused on her career and driven. I loved the forward outlook she had in life and despite all her vulnerabilities, she emerged out so much stronger with the hero’s help. Luca is a tortured hero who hides himself behind the playboy image he has fabricated for the outer world. He is charming, sexy and does not let anyone get too close. It needed a stubborn woman like Sophia to make heal his wounds and make him love again.

The romance is emotional and passionate with really good moments and a solid conflict. I personally loved the epilogue because of the role reversal that happened there but I can’t say for sure if everyone would be comfortable with the same. Also, readers who prefer traditional themes and story line in Harlequin Presents might not like some things in the story.

Overall, The Unwanted Conti Bride by Tara Pammi is an enjoyable romance with strong characters and an engaging story line.
