My Review:
A touching story of a tortured war torn hero Marco returning home injured from the war zone and reconnecting with his childhood friend Alyssa.
Alyssa had a tough childhood; growing up Marco her brother’s best friend has been her guardian and her salvation. Alyssa’s has been in love with Marco all her life, so when she reconnects with this tortured man it is her chance to finally be there for Marco.
There is lots of angst and sexual tension in this book to keep you engaged. Marco and Alyssa romance is sweet and tender based on their long standing friendship and his role as her protector.
A nice engaging read.

I absolutely loved this book. Being an Army wife myself, when I read the description I was immediately sucked in. I bought this book around lunch time, and was finished by the time I went to bed. It was glued to my hands and I did not want to put it down. There were times in the book when I felt Alyssa’s pain, and times when I was really able to relate to how Marco had changed from being in Afghanistan.
