A Virgin to Redeem the Billionaire by Dani Collins is a sexy fake relationship story that turns into a real romance.

When Gisella Drummond tracks down a priceless family heirloom, her grandmother’s earring, at an estate auction, she’s stunned to find her prize bought out from under her by tech entrepreneur Kaine Michaels. And the worst part is, he purchased the whole estate just to get the earring as a way to blackmail her!

Kaine owns a prestigious tech company, and his reputation is on the line because of Gisella’s cousin Benny. Kaine believes that Benny falsified mining samples leading to an ore purchase that turned out to be worthless and his investors are out for blood. Since Kaine can’t get a hold of Benny he’s researched the other family members and knew of Gisella’s quest for her grandmother’s ring. Buying the estate and getting the ring means he’ll have leverage to get Gisella to help restore his good name. He proposes a fake relationship to show that their two families are not at odds while they try to find out what’s really going on, to which Gisella reluctantly agrees. But their attraction leads to a sensual affair. Will it also lead to heartbreak or a happy ever after?

I enjoyed this story! The plot is unique as is Gisella’s career as a jewelry designer for her family’s company. She has been on a quest with her cousin Rozi to find her grandmother’s earrings for sentimental reasons, though she finds out soon enough that the family lore about the earrings is not what it appears to be.

There is a strong emphasis on family relationships (or lack thereof) in this story. Kaine grew up in the foster child system and learned to trust no-one, so it takes a while for him to see that Gisella is telling him the truth when she says she knows nothing of her cousin Benny’s actions. And while Gisella has an okay relationship with her divorced parents they are absorbed with their own issues. They are both loners in their own way, and this draws them together. Their attraction leads to some passionate encounters and makes Kaine second guess his plan to keep emotions out of their arrangement.

As Gisella and Kaine are sorting through their issues on their way to a happy ending, Gisella’s cousin Rozi is off looking for the match to the earring Kaine has and that story is partially told here, but presumably will be fully revealed in an upcoming romance by this author. If you enjoy passionate romances with family intrigue, this is an entertaining and sexy read!
