As the two of them take a deep dive into her life, they completely give in to the simmering feelings between them. When the situation escalates to higher levels, they have to decide what their next steps are and how to lean on each other to get through it.
Willow knows that her life as an influencer has some potential dangers, but she feels like she avoids those possibilities as much as she can. Especially since she dealt with a situation in her past, she wants to make the most of her life now. Knowing Ransom’s background, she feels that she can ask for his help with the present-day situation. As the story progresses, I loved how you saw the attitude of Willow shift. She wasn’t sure who to trust at the beginning and questioned herself, but with Ransom, she doesn’t feel that need.
Ransom was used to keeping people away from him besides a select few. When Willow breaks into his world, he doesn’t know whether to push her away again or embrace her. Through his journey, you can really see how he changes through his relationship with Willow. He learns a lot about himself through how she interacts with him and helps him through some of his hidden feelings.
Overall, I thought this book was really good! I feel like I want to go back and read the first in the series. It was more suspenseful mixed with romance which is always good in my eyes! It also was a spicy romance for those wondering! I thoroughly enjoyed the book and was so happy with how they set up the next book in the epilogue!
