Christmas Kisses with Her Boss by Nina Milne: Sometimes in order to truly move on you have to remember your past and work through that, even when it’s some of the most painful things you can imagine.
Ruby Hampton didn’t exactly have a great loving past, and it was looking like her future was heading down the same path. Ruby definitely didn’t want that to happen so she sucked up her pride and went to her former crush to interview for a job. She was going to make her future bright, full of love and family.
Ethan Caversham had a checkered past to say the least. He overcame and now he was a billionaire and a very savvy businessperson. He also knew love and family were not in his future, not with his issues or his past. Ethan knew about second chances though and while he couldn’t seem to give himself one he wanted to make sure that everyone else had one.
When Ethan handed Ruby her second chance she knew this was her lifeline, her future. What neither of them knew was the pain they would have to relive in order to see beyond the past and what was holding them back.
Ms. Milne has written a deep Christmas time romance novel. This story is more about the healing of two souls and how that comes about with the power of love and a bit of the magic of the holiday. This story goes deeper into the past and focuses a lot on how your past can affect you in ways you may not realize. It also spends a good deal of time on the two main characters and how they are able to build a bond that helps the other while helping themselves. This is a good read, but a bit heavier than a light hearted romance.
