Escape With Her Greek Tycoon by Michelle Douglas: The Mabel and Constantinos families have been 
bitter enemies for a couple generations. Not only has the feud been caused my rival hotel companies, but there have been horrible betrayals and secrets along the way. It is with great trepidation that Marjorie Joan Mabel, better know as MJ, goes to see Nikos to enlist his help. Her twin sister, Siena has disappeared with Nikos’s brother Christian. Siena has a genetic condition that has flared up again and MJ is extremely worried that she won’t be able to get the health care she needs.
At first Nikos says no. He doesn’t want to join in with MJ’s drama, but she finally convinces him of the seriousness of the problem. This sets the two of them on a journey with lots of twists and turns.
This story is of the friends to lovers type. The tug and pull between the hero and heroine made for a very lively and engaging plot line. Nikos comes off as very brusque and cold to start with. He has been raised with the notion that all the Mabel family are not to be trusted. MJ is a little more open to try to learn more about what really happened to cause the huge rift between the families. The author does a fabulous job of slowly revealing what really happened in the past. She also builds a slow burn romance with MJ and Nikos.
I loved the vivid descriptions of some of the exotic locations as they were worked into the tale. Harlequin Romance novels offer glimpses into glamorous lives where the reader can escape and get away from the turmoil of real life.
Michelle Douglas has once again written a charming book that will resonate with new and returning fans. I hope to read more of her works soon.
