Falling for the Bridesmaid by Sophie Pembroke: Trust is a hard thing and once it’s broken it’s more than Bridesmaiddifficult to earn back. Even for those who weren’t the ones who broke it in the first place.

Violet Huntingdon-Cross is the daughter of rock star royalty. Her mother a former model and British ariostracy. Theirs is a love for the ages and Violet is one of three daughters that came out of that love. She’s also known as the Sex Tape Scandal. Now eight years later she’s still hiding from everyone, but with her sister’s recent marriage it looks like Violet needs to step up and step out for her parents benefit concert. Can she conquer her fears to accomplish the families goals?

Thomas Buckley has been waiting for this break his whole career. As a music journalist he has a career in writing fair and honest stories about the music. When he is tapped to write Rick Cross’ story he is ecstatic, when he learns this is going to be a book not only about him, but his band and his family Tom is in seventh heaven.

Violet has too much going on right now, too many things to overcome and now she has to handle the one thing she fears more than anything? A reporter in her home? What was her father thinking? Tom knew he was going to need to get Violet on his side to make things easier, but what he didn’t expect was to start to empathize with her. As they get closer to the benefit concert will these two learn more about trust? Or will they both be broken further?

Wow. This is the third book in this series and honestly one of the best. It can be read as a standalone but truly is a great conclusion to what has been a really wonderful series. Ms. Pembroke has given vivid life to characters and brought them to the reader’s hearts. The plot is nowhere near predictable and will definitely keep you thinking. Enjoy this story but make sure you are prepared for the unpreparable.
