Plain Cover Up by Alison Stone‘s latest story set in the fictional setting of Apple Creek, New York, home to an Amish community where the Plain people live side by side with “Englishers”.

Dr. Christina Jennings runs a free healthcare clinic for the Amish and others in the area. Plain Cover Up follows Christina as through a series of attacks on nearby young ladies, Christina is brought face to face with a nasty attacker from her past; She is striving to assist the victims of the attackers and help them to recover and find justice, which becomes very personal to her.

Together with Dylan, an FBI officer on furlough, they work to find out who is attacking and drugging the girls in town. They are in a race against the clock and against a local family who has connections, I stayed up til the early morning hours reading this book, which I could not put down! Was actually thankful for insomnia as it enabled me to find out what would happen next!

The books in this series have drawn me into the people’s lives of Apple Creek- thus, I enjoyed seeing how characters such as Sarah and Nick are, now that they have married. Fans of Alison Stone, and of mysteries involving the Amish community will not be disappointed. I highly recommend Plain Cover up!
