Swept Into The Tycoon’s World by Cara Colter: Wanting to have the “American Dream” wasn’t a bad thing, right? Even if that dream seemed to come out of the 1950’s.

Breanna, Bree, Evans wanted it with all of heart. She just wanted a happy family, house, picket fence, cat, dog, 2.5 kids and most of all to be loved. That wasn’t too much to ask, was it? Except it was, it seemed that that was all just out of her reach, always. She was never going to have that and to see it just seemed to taunt her. Then he came back into her life.

Brand Wallace wasn’t good enough. He wasn’t good enough for his father to stay, for his mother to stay on her medication, for his girlfriend to love him and his lifestyle. He just wasn’t enough. Until she walked back into his life, the one thing he always wanted but he knew he wasn’t good enough for, it was not okay but livable. Now he had to figure out how to get through life with his dream just out of his grasp.

Circumstances keep pushing Bree and Brand together while they are pushing back and fighting it with all they can. Will they keep up the fight? Or finally give in and realize something bigger than they are is at work?

Ms. Colter has given her readers a very sweet love story of two people who seem to be so self-deprecating it’s not even funny when underneath they are fighting some pretty large demons. While I wish she had gone into the battle with those demons a little more it was nice to see so real and dirty demons aired and dealt with. This is a sweet romance though and a slow build of a rekindled friendship that buds into a beautiful flower.
