Tempting Enemy by M. Robinson: Being the only female and youngest sibling of six children, meant Haven Beckham had plenty of overbearing men in her life. She just turned 18 years old, is a senior in high school, and needs a job to pay for her big plans after high school. Before her mother died in a car accident, she and Haven dreamed of traveling to Europe after Haven graduated and Haven wants to honor that promise. Working at The Outlaw, a biker club would be the fastest way to earn money but she would have to work with her enemy Chase Hayes.
“I know what it feels like to be alone, to feel like you have no one on your side, but you have me. I’m here for you, Hayes. No matter what.”
Chase Hayes can spot trouble a mile away and he knows Haven is trouble with a capital T. He refuses to hire her at The Outlaw but Billy, his dad, went behind his back and hires her anyways. No love is lost between Chase and his abusive father Billy and Chase tries to stay out of his business. So not only does Chase have to resist Haven, but he must keep her safe from Billy, his bikers, and the bar customers. Chase knew who Haven was the first time she came into the bar, and he tries to resist the connection between them but Haven refuses to back down. She pushes all his buttons until he can’t stay away from her.
“I wanted to soak in her smile, her laugh, the way she moved, and the joy she created.”
This was a fast-paced enemy to lovers’ romance. I really liked Chase and Haven’s cute meet and it set the stage for the bumpy beginning of their relationship. They had great chemistry together and I loved watching Chase give in to the connection they had. Haven was a little immature and her innocence was the opposite of Chase’s character. This book is the first in the Beckham Dynasty series and it kicked off the series perfectly. The missing Cove, Haven’s friend, leads us right into the next book and I cannot wait to read it.

Look but don’t touch…
Those were the rules.
And her overprotective brothers expected everyone to follow them when it came to their one and only little sister.
Good luck with that.
Because if I was good at one thing— it was breaking rules.
I wasn’t just tempting the enemy…
I was playing with fire.
