The Nurse’s One Night Baby by Tina Beckett: Serena Dias is thrilled that she has graduated from nursing school. To celebrate, she crosses into Mexico for a night of drinking and fun. After a handsome stranger helps rescue her, she ends up spending a night of unbridled passion with him. She knows this is a one night fling and she returns to the San Diego to start her new job.

There is a huge surprise that awaits her at the hospital. The handsome stranger turns out to be a surgeon at the same hospital, Tobias Renfro. Will the two of them be able to be calm and professional?

Just about the time Serena believes everything can be normal, she finds out she’s pregnant. She wants to keep the baby, but Tobias doesn’t want a family. Can they have a joint custody type of relationship or is there a distant hope for more?

Even though Serena threw caution to the wind with her choice of a one night stand, I still admired her for her kindness and love of family. Tobias was a little harder to like at first. He had been molded by his past and had built a barrier around himself.

I have never been to San Diego or the part of Mexico below it. San Diego seems a great setting, but recent happenings in Mexico would certainly put me off wanting to visit.

I have become a huge fan of Harlequin Medical Romances and all the effort authors put to making the medical parts authentic while crafting a good romance. This novel is part of a duet by two different writers. I will read #2 next.
