Please summarize the book for the readers here:

Phoebe and Rocky have pretended to be everything under the sun to each other. Lovers. Exes. Siblings. Best friends. They don’t really know what they are to each other. But they do know one thing. They’re not really, honestly together. Their families are con artists, and after one disastrous job, their complicated relationship has gotten a whole lot messier. But that’s okay, because Phoebe is quitting her life of crime to start an honest living with her bestie Hailey. Wealthy coastal small town, here they come! Problem: Hailey’s older brother Rocky is tagging along in case this new start implodes on them, and when thinking of a fresh start, Rocky was the LAST thing she had in mind. Think Gilmore Girls and Dawson’s Creek meets Outer Banks.

• 1. The small town setting was largely inspired by Mystic Pizza and our love of classic WB shows like Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill.
• 2. While Phoebe & Rocky have intense chemistry, the friendship between Phoebe & Hailey is one of our strongest friendships we’ve ever written. They are true ride-or-dies.
• 3. Even though Phoebe & Hailey are trying live honestly, you’ll see certain cons Rocky & Phoebe have pulled from the past that have shaped them.

What first attracts your Hero to the Heroine and vice versa?

Phoebe is stunningly beautiful (as her role is the “seductress” inside the families), but Rocky is drawn to her unwavering love for the people she cares about — and that she can also withstand the true him. Not many can! It’s a grumpy x grumpier kind of romance.

Not only is Rocky extremely attractive, but he loves so infrequently that when he does love you, it feels like his whole heart is yours. Phoebe is drawn to the security he brings her, the protection, but ultimately, the true affection.

Did any scene have you blushing, crying or laughing while writing it? And Why?

Yes! We love sexual tension so much! This is one where Phoebe and Rocky are in the storage closet at the country club (she’s a server).

“His chest rises and falls with heavy breaths against me. Like I’m chasing him around the tiny storage closet.

He pushes forward until I have no option but to shuffle back. My spine crashes into the shelves. Our latched eyes scream untouched notes of padlocked desire, and the tempo accelerates between us—his hand sheathing my cheekbone, my nails clawing at his back.

Rocky grips my hair, his forehead bowing toward mine. Heat surges, and a whimper scratches my throat. Holy shit.

The noise in his throat is husky, deeper with coarser frustrations and cravings. ‘Phoebe.’

My name is a warning. A we can’t.”

If you love a twisty, turny romance that will not only have you on the edge of your seat but also falling deeply in love with found family, this one is for you! The romance has high angst, slow burn sexual tension, and fiery banter as their push-and-pull dynamic grows hotter with each page.

What are you currently working on? What other releases do you have in the works?

We’re editing the sequel to DISHONESTLY YOURS, as well as beginning the third novel. Besides DISHONESTLY YOURS, we have another new adult romance series in the works set in New York City. The first novel is BURN BRIGHT.

Excerpt from Dishonestly Yours:

“You’re like an ugly little devil on my shoulder,” I tell Rocky. I mime flicking imaginary him off my left shoulder.

He doesn’t volley back an insult. Instead, his gaze sobers on me. “Want to make a deal with the devil?”

I’m about to reject him on principle, but his earnestness gives me pause. “What kind of deal?” I wonder.

“I’ll stop trying to coerce you into your old ways if you just tell me what happened in Carlsbad.”

My face sours, and mention of Carlsbad somersaults my stomach. “No.” My pace carries me faster and harder down the cobblestone.

Rocky easily keeps up. “Phoebe—”

“We’ve been over this,” I cut him off and then stop dead in my tracks. His chest bumps up against mine, and he towers a good several inches above me. I’m five-eight in these heels, not short, and he hasn’t moved a millimeter back. Ugh! With heated words and heavier breath, I snap, “I’ve left that night in the past, and I need you to do the same.”

He stares down at me, his eyes sinking into a darkness. “It was something bad—”

“I’ll make you a deal,” I interrupt him again. “First one who gets laid tonight gets one wish granted. Your wish is that you’ll get a very detailed amazing explanation of that night.”

“And your wish?”

“Is for you to drop it forever.”
