Hi Julie and welcome to HJ! We’re so excited to chat with you about your new release, Fancy Meeting You Here!

Please summarize the book for the readers here:

Fancy Meeting You Here is a contemporary wedding romcom about florist Elise who’s struggling to keep her shop afloat when she’s serving as both bridesmaid and florist for her three best friends’ weddings. She’s paired off with Ben, one of her friend’s brother and aloof groomsman. Ben is spending the summer helping his mom get re-elected and asks Elise to help him with events. This begins a collaboration between the two of them as they help each other through various wedding and political events. As they spend more time together, Elise begins to see that there’s more to prickly Ben than meets the eye. Perhaps this always-the-bridesmaid florist will see her own romance bloom.

Please share a few Fun facts about this book…

The book was partially inspired from the time I was a bridesmaid for my best friends who married during the same year. It was chaotic, but a lot of fun. I also spent some time assisting a florist, so I’ve been to many wedding venues in Southern California. It was fun to draw from that experience as well.

What first attracts your Hero to the Heroine and vice versa?

They don’t have the best impressions when they first meet. So beyond physical attractiveness, Ben is fascinated by Elise’s enthusiasm for weddings and her commitment to make things beautiful for her friends. For Elise, I think she likes how Ben cares for people in his own way.

Did any scene have you blushing, crying or laughing while writing it? And Why?

Any sex scene I write has me blushing because I’m easily embarrassed. But I do like writing them and here’s a teaser from FMYH:

I glanced up at the sound of Ben’s husky voice. He’d taken off his shirt and was unbuckling his pants, but his eyes stayed on me.
“You tell me if there’s anything you don’t like.” His pants fell along with his boxers. My mouth dried. Ben’s ill-fitting clothes hadn’t done his body justice. He was strong and tall. A striking mix of sharp and smooth edges.

What are you currently working on? What other releases do you have in the works?

I’m working on my fourth book, which is a romcom about former friends who meet again at their 20th high school reunion.
