Spotlight&Giveaway

Hi M.A. Lee and welcome to HJ! We’re so excited to chat with you about your new release, Wicked Ink!

Thank you for having me!

Please summarize the book for the readers here:

Wicked Ink is a dark romance novel that follows Colton, a tattoo artist, and self-proclaimed man whore. When he meets good girl, Melissa, his world is turned upside down.
She’s the first girl to ever turn him down and he has no idea how to handle her. Loving a challenge, Colton decides he will make Melissa fall in love with him…no matter the cost.

Please share your favorite line(s) or quote from this book:

His mouth twisted in a deliciously mischievous smile as he scanned my face. Our lips, now inches apart, quivered as he moved closer to me. He tipped my chin up so I was forced to look up at him. The move alone was so sensual and devastatingly wicked, I couldn’t help but give in to his wants. “You know neither of us can stop this,” he whispered in a husky voice, placing his hand on the back of my neck.

Nervously laughing, I attempted to push him away again. “You are so cocky and arrogant,” I declared, as I tried to hide the smirk on my face.
“Yes, I am cocky and arrogant, and you love it,” he joked back.

“Whatever,” I said, rolling my eyes and trying to hide my face. I wasn’t sure if my facial expressions could hide the fact that he was indeed correct. Colton was the reason for my happiness.

Please share a few Fun facts about this book…

This book was going to be a slow-burn romance, but as I got more into the story the character seemed to WANT the hot and heavy immediately!

What first attracts your Hero to the Heroine and vice versa?

My hero is first attracted to Melissa’s beauty but it’s her sass that really captivates him.
The heroine falls for Colton because she sees beyond his reputation and sees the good guy under his swagger.

Did any scene have you blushing, crying or laughing while writing it? And Why?

One sex scene had me blushing while writing it. I had to pause for a moment and collect myself, lol.

Readers should read this book….

if they love brooding book boyfriends that will make you laugh, cry, and swoon.

What are you currently working on? What other releases do you have in the works?

I tend to write and draft multiple books at once. Right now I have in the works…
The second book in this series—Title TBA
Curse of the Shadows- A vampire romance unlike anything I’ve written before
Book 3 in my Royal Elite Academy Series.

Thanks for blogging at HJ!

Excerpt from Wicked Ink:

“Mel. Melissa. What are you doing?” he asked. His face was torn as he watched me cry and try to put the car in gear.
I only shook my head. I couldn’t speak to him. I was too afraid that I would give in and jump out of the car and into his arms. As much as I wanted a life with Colton, I knew I was too broken to give him what he needed. I wasn’t ready to love anyone—not even myself—yet.

As I began to drive forward, speeding down the quiet suburban neighborhood like a racecar driver, Colton continued to watch me leave. He was still screaming my name as I continued to speed away from him and the life which I knew could never exist. I looked in the rearview mirror one last time and sighed as I discovered I couldn’t see Colton anymore.

Book Info:

From Amazon Bestselling Author, M.A. Lee comes another exciting new college romance novel.

Melissa is my biggest challenge yet. With her beauty, brains, and brazen sass, she is the first girl not to fall for my charm.
I want her.
I need her.
I’m getting high just from her presence. I know she will cave one day, I can see it in the way she looks at me and the way her body reacts when I touch her.
With each day that passes, I can feel her giving in. Her resistance is fleeting as she slowly falls for what we could be. What I want us to become.

They say bad boys are easy to love. And, Colton is your ultimate bad boy. It’s hard to blame him; with his dark hair, tattoos, striking eyes, and swagger, girls just can’t resist him.
I already had my fair share of bad boys and the last thing I wanted to do was to fall for Colton. Knowing that he owns a tattoo parlor and drives a motorcycle should have me running away at lightning speed–but it doesn’t.
I fell for him hard and we both know it, but I’m the last person to admit it. Call it stubbornness, but I am not the type of girl that Colton really needs.
Now, Colton refuses to give up his chase and I don’t know how much longer I can fight my feelings for him. I can tell he is different, but can I really trust him with my heart?
