  1. Trudy Dowling

Rachel Morgan from the Hollows series by Kim Harrison. No matter what issue, she used any means possible to survive and thrive. She wasn’t afraid to keep an open mind and admit when she was wrong.

  2. ELF

I was captivated by Athena Summers in Joey Hill’s “Unrestrained” because of the strength and vulnerability that she displayed. Thanks for the giveaway!

  3. Morgan VanLier

I`ve read so many books with heroines that I loved I can`t even begin to pick a favorite

  4. marcyshuler

Lady Georgiana (aka: Chase) from Never Judge a Lady by Her Cover by Sarah MacLean. I loved how cleverly this was written throughout the series and I loved her strength, intelligence and heart.

  5. doveknoll

This is a tough one. There have been so many great heroines this year. I guess the one I’ll pick is Peg from Diana Palmer’s book Courageous. She knew what she wanted and did what she had to do to prove herself. She even went into battle to prove herself. She had flaws but who doesn’t? I love the books offered in this prize package. A lot of great authors and books. Thanks for the chance to win.

  6. taswmom

So many great Heroines to choose from….. I’m going to go with Georgia Davis, from Nobody’s Child, by Libby Fischer Hellman. There are actually several Georgia Davis books, but that one really stays in you mind. It’s more of a mystery/suspense, with romance in it, but she’s an amazing, resilient woman.

  7. Tracey Parker

Wow what a hard question. I’m gonna have to go with where my love of reading again started with, Regency Romance. So from what I read this year as my favorite is by Maya Rodale and i pick the wallflowers, all 3 of them! Hey i picked one Author! I really loved the idea and the women in this series. Think its a must read for everyone!

  8. Lori Meehan

Wow. This is a really hard question. Mary Campbell from “Rogue with a Brogue”

  9. Lisa Reigel

Sam Holland Cappuano from the Fata series by Marie Force. She’s tough, shoots from the hip, tells it like it is, and has absolutely no filter. She gets the job done her way. Her character grows with each book in this series. She adores and is adored by her husband, VA Senator Nick Cappuano. The have a crazy life with her being a Washington, DC Police Lieutenant in charge of the city’s homicide detectives’ squad, and Nick a VA US Senator (now the Vice President!).

  10. DebraG

Jane Burke in A Scandal to Remember by Elizabeth Essex. She was strong, resourceful, and went contrary to the social norms.

  11. dholcomb1

georgianna in never judge a lady by her cover: the fourth rule of scoundrels–best kept secret and one who deserves love and romance

    Denise

  12. Krysten M

I finally started (and finished) Kim Harrison’s The Hollows series this year, so Rachel Morgan is definitely towards the top. Also up there Eve Dallas (JD Robb’s In Death series) and Kate Daniels (Ilona Andrews’ series). They’re all such strong and smart characters

  13. amydawn2537

Josephine Willan in The Renegade Hunter by Lynsay Sands. She’s not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for those she loves. Even if she has to go against a man everyone is afraid of going against.

  14. Carrie Van Derveer

Just re-read Gabriel’s Inferno and I am very impressed with Julianne in that story – she is a very strong woman. I also love Jill Shalvis’ heroines

  15. Brenda Rumsey

Sophia Reardon from INFILTRATION by Janie Crouch (Harlequin Intrigue).

  16. belindaegreen

You asked: Who tops your Favorite heroine of 2014 list? And Why? ( Please include name of the book )

I’m currently reading Disfigured Love by Georgia Le Carre. The book is a twist on the fairy tale Beauty and the Beast. The story is heart wrenching and has kept me on the edge of my seat to see what happens next. Lena Seagull is the heroine. She faced some tough challenges but thru it all she never gave up. She had a kind heart. Was always looking at the positive outcome. She found her HEA. Good book so far and I recommend it.

    Thanks for the opportunity.

    Belinda G

  17. Pennie M

Much like heroes, this changes with each book, however, I have been reading the Rock Chick series this year by Kristin Ashley and each of the Rock Chicks bring something special to the group.

  18. laurieg72

Paige in Shannon Stacey’s ALL HE EVER NEEDED- I liked her attitude of going after what she wants regardless of other people’s opinions. She’s independent and successful. She makes things happen. She shows her feelings and deals with her emotions. She’s able to let go and fall in love. She’s feisty.

  19. cheryl c.

I liked Jane Bonde in LOVE AND LET SPY by Shana Galen. She was a beautiful member of the Ton and a secret spy. She could take down a bad buy without messing up her hair and ball gown.

  20. Amy Rickman

Charley Davidson from the Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones. I just pick up this series this year and devoured all the books that have been released so far.

  21. anne3230

Kate Daniels from the series by Ilona Andrews. She takes a licking, yet continues to get up and continue the fight, usually to protect others.

  22. Judy S

That’s a hard question as I’ve read so many great books this year. I’d have to say Althea from Three Rivers written by Chloe Barlow. She was such a strong character and well written.

  23. Robin B

Jaden Monroe from No Matter What by Erin Nicholas. Because she is helping kids with physical therapy in the best way for the kids with some tough love thrown in there.

  24. Jean White

Sage Carrigan from Promise Me, Cowboy by CJ Carmichael changes her life and becomes a Chocolatier. She owns her own chocolate shop. I am jealous that she gets to work with chocolate every day.

  25. Colleen C.

Hmmm, that is hard to pick, but Eve from JD Robb’s In Death series always is one of my favs…

  26. Sharlene Wegner

My favorite heroine for 2014 would be Helena from In Bed With a Rogue by Samantha Grace.

  27. Heidi D

My favorite heroine this year would have to be Celia Wird, from the Weird Girls series, A Cursed Bloodline being the most recent. Celia is strong, kindhearted, loyal, and protective of her friends and family. I also find her to be quite funny as well.

  28. Janie McGaugh

It’s hard to choose between Kate Daniels, Mercy Thompson, Charley Davidson, and Kat Crawfield, all favorite heroines. I love them all for the same reason. They’re all strong-minded, kick-ass women, who care deeply about other people (and all have wonderful, hot, hot, hot mates!).

    • Janie McGaugh

Books in 2014: Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews; Night Broken by Patricia Briggs; Sixth Grave on the Edge & Seventh Grave and No Body by Darynda Jones; Up from the Grave by Jeaniene Frost

  29. Joan V.

Rilee Dust from Dead Man’s Carve by Kym Roberts. She is strong, independent and a survivor. When she woke up from her grief, she took on her little world.

  30. Joye

Lilas Fairchild in IN BED WITH A SPY by Alyssa Alexander Lilas had spunk and was no coward. She
entered the battle after her husband was killed. She meets a British spy and well…..the rest made for a really good story.

  31. kateivan

I enjoyed Grace Sheridan from Alice Clayton’s “Redhead” series. She overcame her past (including issues with an ex and her weight) in order to work on finding her HEA with a younger man (younger! go, Grace!).

  32. Jessica Alcazar (@ScoopyPooh)

I just finished Never Judge A Lady by Her Cover by Sarah MacLean last night and it was SO emotional, I can’t even think of anyone but Lady Georgiana aka Chase! There’s is really no one more deserving than a HEA! GAH! Ya’ll have GOT to read this book!

  33. Leanna

I would say Sidney from It Happened One Wedding by Julie James. I love how Julie James writes strong, smart, confident and often sarcastic characters. The characters in It Happened One Wedding were this and more.

  34. BookLady

My favorite heroine in 2014 is Rachel Morgan from Kim Harrison’s Hollows series. She is a strong, amazing, and resourceful witch who truly cares about others. Thanks for the fantastic giveaway!

  35. Diane Sallans

I started reading JD Robb’s In Death series this year, so I’ll go with Eve Dallas – I love how here spirit opens thru the series.

  36. ksb1954

I absolutely love Lt Eve Dallas from the In Death series!! She is smart, tough but feminine at the same time, and absolutely loves her devilish, bad-boy husband!!

  37. Maureen

Natalie Clayton from The Best Kind of Trouble by Lauren Dane. She turned her life around and made smart choices.

  38. Nicole Potter

Melanthe from Dark Skye! By Kresley Cole! Not only was she AWESOME, she was hilarious and sweet! Plus, she delt with a ton of stuff during the book, and with her emotions and actions and everything – she just seemed so real! (And awesome, did I mention that?)

  39. Kim Perry

I love Lily from the Addicted series by Krista and Becca Ritchie!! She’s a sex addict and is love with her best friend, Loren. I love how she has to find her own strength to fight her compulsions and be healthy so that she and Lo can be together.

  40. Glenda

The strongest heroines I read this past year are the ladies in Grace Burrowes’ Captive Hearts Series. All three had to overcome major obstacles in their lives.

  41. Brianne

Ivy from Shield of Winter by Nalini Singh. This is a character who has been through so much in her life, yet when presented with a situation where she can do so much to help others, she takes the step and helps others. In the process, she meets Vasic. They help each other learn to love and trust while also dealing with a major issue within the Psy world. This was my favorite book of the year, also.

  42. Xoun J. Phetchamp

Beth from The King by J.R. WARD. She’s a worthy Queen who stuck by her King through some of the toughest times.

  43. Glenda S. Hefty

I read so many books of all genres I’m at a lost to name a favorite. I guess since I just read the last JD Robb Festive, In Death and have read every one of them I’ll go with Eve Dallas. I love every book written by Nora Roberts and would be hard pressed to name a favorite one of hers much less adding in all the other books I’ve read. Whatever book I’m reading, if it is good, that heroine is a favorite at that time!

  44. Kim R

I would have to say Alabama from Protecting Alabama by Susan Stoker. Alabama has had it rough all of her life, practically invisible but she comes out strong and finds her love.

  45. Pat Walker Pinkston

I love Eve Dallas in the In Death series by JD Robb. She’s strong, loyal, loving, and a bit of a smart mouth. Quite a bit, actually. The most recent book I’ve read is Festive In Death.

  46. Judy-Ree

Kate Daniels – she faced her centuries old father and while she didn’t win, she held her ground. She is Fierce!

  47. angela smith

i will have to go with Lt.Eve Dallas i just finished Festive in Death by J.D. Robb she’s a strong female cop

  48. Allison W

Too many to choose! Maybe Charlie Davidson from Darynda Jones’ series!

  49. Inga

Tuesday from Lauren Dane’s Broken Open. She was a character who was likeable and made me want to know what was going to happen next.

  50. mrsmac19

Lena Morrissey from Kylie Scott’s Lead didn’t take Jimmy’s $hit. She was awesome!

  51. Christina Riggs

That’s a very difficult question to answer! I’ve read so many books. I only read Fifty Shades of Gray and Anastasia is a great character! Happy Holidays!!

  52. Chelsea B.

Isolde Ophelia Goodnight from Tessa Dare’s Romancing the Duke! When you read a Tessa Dare novel, you know you are getting a great heroine.
