Chasing River by K.A. Tucker: River fully understands that life isn’t fully black and white. Chasing-RiverHe’s grown up in Ireland with the tales of his family’s involvement in the revolution. After a youthful mistake, he spends his life running the family pub and worrying about what his older brother will be involved in next.

Amber has spent her life living by the rules as a Sheriff’s daughter. She’s finally saved up the money to get out and explore the world on a 4 month vacation. She has a travel to-do list and her tickets purchased. She’s having a great time until she’s in the wrong place at the exact wrong time in Dublin. Amber can’t forget the sexy stranger who very unexpectedly saved her life. She never got the chance to talk to him, but she does figure out how to find him. Both are surprised by the interest that sparks between them when they do meet again.

“You need saving, do you?”

I don’t know what I need, but the way he just held me gave me a taste of what I definitely want. I hold up my wallet. “I could have just stopped by your bar to get it.”

“You could have.” He hesitates. “But then I might have missed seeing you again.”

My heart flutters with excitement. So he did want to see me again, too.

“See ya, Amber.” He winks. “Don’t do anything…torrid.”

River firmly leaves the ball in Amber’s court and she finds herself in the unusual position of chasing a guy. River is nothing like the typical guys she’s dated in the past, but she’s drawn to him on a much deeper level and they develop an intense connection.

Chasing River is a beautiful story of love, finding yourself, consequences, and redemption. K.A. Tucker both engaged and informed the reader in this captivating story of opposites attract. Ms. Tucker weaved together Ireland’s past and present to provide context and drama in a relevant story for the world we live in.

Chasing River can be read as a standalone, but readers would have a better understanding of relationships and references if you’ve read the previous books. Fans of Kim Karr, Jamie McGuire, and Colleen Hoover would love Chasing River!

Armed with two years’ worth of savings and the need to experience life outside the bubble of her Oregon small town, twenty-five-year old Amber Welles is prepared for anything. Except dying in Dublin. Had it not been for the bravery of a stranger, she might have. But he takes off before she has the chance to offer her gratitude.

Twenty-four-year-old River Delaney is rattled. No one was supposed to get hurt. But then that American tourist showed up. He couldn’t let her die, but he also couldn’t risk being identified at the scene—so, he ran. Back to his everyday life of running his family’s pub. Only, everyday life is getting more and more complicated, thanks to his brother, Aengus, and his criminal associations. When the American girl tracks River down, he quickly realizes how much he likes her, how wrong she is for him. And how dangerous it is to have her around. Chasing her off would be the smart move.

Maybe it’s because he saved her life, or maybe it’s because he’s completely different from everything she’s left behind, but Amber finds herself chasing after River Delaney. Amber isn’t the kind of girl to chase after anyone.

And River isn’t the kind of guy she’d want to catch.
