In Damaso Claims His Heir (One Night With Consequences #5) by Annie West, Marisa and Damaso meet on an adventure DCHHtrip in Brazil and sparks fly instantly! They begin a brief affair but Marissa becomes pregnant and their fates are sealed together.

Damaso knows the sting of illegitimacy and therefore he won’t let his child face the same difficulties he has faced, he is determine to give his child the rightful place he or she deserves and there is only one way to claim his heir, and that’s marriage!

Damaso Claims His Heir by Annie West is an awesome addition to the presents this month. It was well written and told an awesome romance between two very likable characters. The best part is that Damaso and Marissa’s romance is spanned over a few months. This gives their relationship credibility and makes the HEA very believable.

Marisa is a vulnerable heroine who is still recovering from the loss of a loved one. She is admirable but I wished she was a little stronger and forceful character because that’s how I like my heroines. Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading about her and understood why her character was the way it was. Damaso is a self made man with who has come a long way from the streets of Brazil. He is an amazing hero and is a more towards the softer side than the alpha hero we normally see in a Presents novel. Both these character were wonderful together and suited each other so well. The story line is enjoyable and the romance is both passionate and heartwarming.

Overall, Damaso Claims His Heir by Annie West is an wonderful take on the accidental pregnancy trope and if you like this genre, then definitely give this book a read.

When opposites attract!

Damaso Pires should have known better than to get involved with Marisa—the scandalous princess of Bengaria! Yet soon he sees her true beauty and flawless virtue, which touches a place in him he thought ruthlessly destroyed by his childhood on the streets of Brazil.

But their brief affair becomes permanent when Marisa reveals she’s pregnant.

Damaso knows the sting of illegitimacy and, having fought tooth and nail to claw his way up to the dizzying heights of international success and financial infamy, he won’t let his child slip from his grasp. There’s only one way to claim his heir, and that’s marriage!

She was more on the vulnerable side and I too like strong heroines but in this case she was not that bad 🙂
