REVIEW: His Obsession Next Door by Cathryn Fox

His Obsession Next Door is a thrilling and passionate romance by talented author Cathryn Fox. I find that each book she writes is just as good or better than the previous one I have read. This book is amazing, replete will patriotism, well-defined characters and a compelling storyline.

Gemma Matthews and Cole Sullivan have known each other since they were children. The Matthews household was a place Cole felt welcomed and comfortable, when his home-life was out of control. Brandon Matthews was Gemma’s older brother and Cole’s best friend. Cole seemed to always be around to protect Gemma and as a result, feelings developed overtime that were never recognized. When Cole enlisted in the army, Brandon followed. Unfortunately, Brandon lost his life while serving his country and to this day, Cole has never forgiven himself for not protecting him. Honoring his request to look out for Gemma, was the least he could do.

Now years later, Gemma is a successful veterinarian and Cole is bomb hunting expert. Gemma is surprised to see Cole when he walks into her veterinary clinic with his injured service dog. She had no idea that he was back in town for good, his latest deployment being his last. The connection between Gemma and Cole is undeniable and raw, in addition to being caring and passionate. They finally act on their feelings and work through some barriers in order to be together.

Wow, a truly great read! The title is a little deceiving, however, because Cole buys the condo across the street from Gemma, not next door. Nevertheless, this is a heartwarming, steamy love story that will cause all your senses to remain on high alert. Ms. Fox is an excellent storyteller and her words kept me captivated from start to finish. I found the story to be so good, I did not want it to end. This is an emotional, erotic romance that should not be missed.
