Risking it All by T.J. Kline: Gia never thought that she would return home for anything more than a short visit. Even after 10 years, she still tries to avoid her ex-fiancé, Andrew. Gia was always known as the reliable, dependable daughter who always did the right thing. Since leaving, she got her degree and is working towards a promotion in a marketing firm.

Andrew was always a bit wild and a playboy until he started dating Gia in high school. He was planning to leave town with her after they got married, but he ended up staying in their small town and becoming a cop. He has a tight-knit and loyal family. Since losing Gia, he’s decided that marriage and commitment aren’t for him.

While her sister is unreliable and selfish, Gia never thought that Lorena would leave Gia to raise her niece. When Gia heads home to Hidden Falls with her niece the last person she wanted to run into just so happened to be Andrew. She’s surprised to find that he is more handsome than ever and that she’s not as over him as she thought.

“How long are you planning on staying? Maybe we could have dinner before you leave again.” It was a long shot, but why not give it a try?
She turned toward him slowly, piercing him with a look that could have cut steel. “Absolutely. I’ll pencil that in for two days after hell freezes over.”

With Gia in town for a while, Andrew wants to make the most of this opportunity. Their chemistry is stronger than ever and he’s still in love with her. It seems like every time they move one step closer to getting back together, a new surprise pushes them apart. Between secrets of the past and present threatening to pull them apart, Gia has to decide if she can trust her heart and Andrew for another chance at a love she can’t forget.

“You’re confident because you cheat,” Grant pointed out.
Andrew took the ribbing in stride and focused on Gia, which made her nervous. “What do you think you could add to sweeten the pot? Since you’re out of money,” he clarified.
She wasn’t giving in that easily. “What do you want?”

Risking it All is a heartwarming, sexy, second chance romance with plenty of drama and angst. T.J. Kline created great banter and interactions between all of the characters. Ms. Kline created a great set of siblings in the McQuaids who would be fun to revisit in future books. Risking it All can easily be read as a standalone in this series. Fans of Jenn McKinlay and Lorelei James will enjoy Risking it All.
