Romantic suspense and historical romance. Catherine Mann’s Elite Force series is a great series for romantic suspense. The Outlander series is great for historical romance even though Diana Gabaldon says that she doesn’t write romance.

I love a great romance with a heavy dose of suspense thrown in! The genre could be paranormal, contemporary, sci fi, or whatever. Examples of authors that I’ve enjoyed reading are: anything by Laurann Dohner, Dahlia Rose, Mia Caldwell, Heather Long, Harper Sloane, Milly Taiden, or Kate Kent, to name a few. There are soo many!

I enjoy a romance with a mystery involved. I am a huge fan of Rhys Bowen and her Royal Spyness Mystery Series. “Malice at the Palace,” “A Royal Pain,” and Queen of Hearts” are just three of that series that are excellent.
If I may add more, “The Case of the Dotty Dowager” by Cathy Ace is also a good read.

I read all of Violet Duke as soon as it is published. The Good Girl Trilogy is my introduction to her. Her production has gone down because of her health, but I can impatiently wait for her books if it means there will be more. My other author would be LB Dunbar. She has a rock legend series that starts with The Legend of Arturo King. I absolutely hated her for that ending. It took me a couple of months before I could write a review without cursing her out.

I’ve noticed that I tend to be drawn to Romantic Suspense or Paranormal Romance, but have to also say that I’ll still read just about anything if the cover art & story summary draws me in!!! As for the both of these sub genres Heather Graham’s books run the gambit for just about anything & I’ve never read a book of hers that I didn’t love!!! Getting ready to start The Silenced & Waking The Dead once I finish with Mills & Boon: Mistletoe & Marriage by Patricia Thayer & Donna Alward.
