In A Little Too Wild by Devney Perry, Raven would be lying if she said she’d never given a second glance Crew Madigan’s way when they were growing up–or when the snowboarding champ has been on TV. But being that he’s her older brother River’s best friend, Crew is off-limits. As he should be anyway. Because Raven’s had it with arrogant, womanizing athletes. She’s guarding her heart against guys like Crew after having it broken one too many times. But the night of Reed and Ava’s wedding, Crew’s older brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law, Raven caves when Crew asks her up to his suite. Considering he hasn’t been home to Penny Ridge in over a decade, what are the odds he’ll stick around, right?
‘Yeah, I’d sworn off athletes. But I’d sworn off athletes as boyfriends. Crew Madigan wasn’t boyfriend material.
But he might be just perfect for a one-night stand.’
After one steamy night with Raven turns into another, Crew finds himself coming up with any excuse to stick around his hometown. Something he never dreamed would happen. Not only because Madigan Mountain holds bad memories for him, but because he doesn’t usually do serious relationships given that he travels all over the world for competitions. But Crew realizes that Raven is different. Sure he grew up with her and River so they have history together. And she’s even more gorgeous than she was in her late teens, the last time he saw her. No, it’s Raven’s passion for snowboarding, her calm demeanor, and how Crew can just be himself with her that has him hooked. Possibly for good.
‘Something unlocked in my chest. Something foreign and strange. Something that I’d never felt with a woman before. Like maybe I was exactly where I was supposed to be.’
Sports romance for the win! Devney Perry’s sexy contribution to the Madigan Mountain multi-author trilogy gave me all the feels while I was glued to the pages thanks to the characters’ combustible chemistry.
‘This wasn’t a casual hookup. Not anymore. This went way beyond sex.
There’d be no goodbye, not this time.’
A Little Too Wild was a blast to read. Set on the snowy slopes in picturesque Colorado with tons of snowboarding scenes and a fun casual relationship that turned serious in a hurry, I fell in love with everything about this book. On top of being a small town sports romance, this was also a brother’s best friend trope. Our heroine Raven’s brother River being our hero Crew’s best friend since childhood added a complication, making the couple have to sneak around and keep their fling hush-hush. It definitely added some extra heat to their already smoldering connection. But of course you knew when it came out that Crew and Raven were together–whether it was short-term or not–things would hit the fan. (And it did!)
Aside from the knockout heat Raven and Crew had, the other part of the story that tugged at my heart was their family issues. Both had some things to sort in their personal lives. And I loved that Perry had Crew and Raven become a sounding board for each other–they felt like they didn’t have to sugarcoat things. They could let their true feelings about their family and their careers fly, knowing that they could trust one another. I think that was what made Raven know she could put her trust in Crew after being treated poorly by previous boyfriends and what helped Crew feel at peace enough to finally deal with his hometown and the loss of his mother so many years ago. *sigh*
The third and final book in the Madigan Mountain trilogy will keep fans’ hearts pounding and the sweet epilogue will leave them with a smile on their faces. What more can a reader ask for, right?

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Devney Perry comes a small town, sports romance.
Crew Madigan is a snowboarding legend. He’s gorgeous, rich, famous and every woman’s dream. Well, except mine. I’ll take a nerdy guy with a clumsy streak who wouldn’t know what to do with a pair of skis to save his life. Superstar athletes? No, thanks. World champions? Hard pass. Crew? Definitely not.
It’s been over a decade since Crew set foot on Madigan Mountain. Instead of sitting with his family during his brother’s wedding, he takes the chair beside mine. ESPN really doesn’t do that chiseled jaw justice. The cameras miss the flecks of gold in his eyes. When he invites me to his hotel room after the wedding, I break all of my own rules for just one night.
But here’s the problem with just one night. Crew is impossible to forget. And he’s not the only one who loves a thrill. The crash, the broken bones, are inevitable. Because together, we’re a little too wild.
