A Wedding for the Greek Tycoon by Rebecca Winters: What happens when you live in fear of death? Is it living?
Zoe Zachos had been through the ringer. Daughter of Greek immigrants she worked in their restaurant while attending college. Then one day the unthinkable happened and they perished in a fire along with the house and the restaurant. To add to that Zoe ended up in the hospital where they found out she had cancer. All at the age of 24. Luckily her family priest and a lovely lady from the church found her a center designed to help Greek Americans just like her.
Vasso Giannopoulos came from a very humble beginning. His mother died shortly after the birth of his brother. His father when they were still young teenagers, but he had come a long way since they. They were now very rich and owned their own line of convenience stores. More so they were able to establish two centers to honor their father and that was what he was most proud of.
Zoe was so grateful to Vasso for the centers and saving her life she believed. When he gifted her with a job she was beyond grateful. As to Vasso he knew there was something special with Zoe, if only he could convince her of that.
This is the second book of the series though can easily be read as a standalone. Ms. Winters does a really great job of making you feel like you are in Greece. She also does a really great portrayal of a young girl alone in the world having to deal with so many life-altering issues. In fact her portrayal of Zoe really makes the book worth reading. Life may not make any promises but sometimes you just have to accept that.
