Between the Lines by Olivia Hayle: When traveling for work most people just want to get back to their hotel room and chill, well for Charlotte this was definitely not on the agenda, seeing as there was a mix up with the booking and her room got double booked. Now instead of having a nice quite night in alone, she is stuck sharing her room with a hot stranger. In an attempt to make the best out of a bad situation the two strike up a game of poker which soon leads to an unforgettable and steamy night together. Now this would sound like the start of a cute love story, right? Well it would have been had the hot stranger actually called Charlotte after they parted ways!

Fast forward to the present, and Charlotte is about to start ghostwriting her next memoir, the only problem being its for the very last person that she ever expected to see… her hot one night stand, Aiden Hartman. If coming face to face with the guy that didn’t call her back wasn’t bad enough Charlotte soon learns that she is about to spend the next two months working very closely with the very man that turned her entire life upside down. However somewhere between sharing a house, attending gala dinners and lounging at the pool together the line between professionalism and attraction begin to blur… the question is Aiden to good to be true or is he worth take a chance on?

I loved reading this book, like with all of her book Hayle knows how to craft an intriguing story with loveable characters and a catchy storyline. Right from the get go I knew that I would love this book, I mean we are set up with a forced proximity scene to get the ball rolling and let me just tell you do there two get things rolling! When I say this book starts of with a steamy bang I am not joking, Charlotte and Aiden really give us a taste of what they are about to be once they get their acts together. Nevertheless their build up is so worth the wait.

One of the things that I really enjoyed about this book was how complex both main characters were, we get to see both of them grow and uncover a lot through the course of the novel. I really enjoyed getting to see both of them fight for themselves, their beliefs and their desires, it was nice to see so much of passion and emotion coming off the pages as I read the book.

Now for a bit about our leading lady, well Charlotte was a sassy little powerhouse. I loved her character to bits, but gosh did my heart just break for her. She has had to face the dark side of media and how cruel people on line can be, this has truly broken a part of her soul and made her withdraw from really allowing people into her space. Even though she had to face so much, I really liked the way she pushed through and instead of allowing one moment to define her she decided to make something of herself. I loved getting to see her character grow and speaking about her pain and using it to make her a stronger person. Now for our hero, well as good-looking and charming as Aiden is, he to hasn’t had the easiest of lives, but despite all of this I think it would be fair to say he turned out to be a pretty great guy. We get to see that he carries a lot of weight and burden on his shoulders, most of which have nothing to do with him. We get to see a lot of character growth for him and we really get to understand his past and what shaped him into the man that he is today, which is kind, compassionate and so gentle. I loved getting to see the softer side to Aiden, the side he so freely gave to Charlotte.

The chemistry between Aiden and Charlotte was intense. These two had that insta attraction that only got hotter as the book progressed. I just ate up every moment of the two of them together. There is an incredible balance between the will they or wont they tension and the softer more venerable moments that they share. I just loved seeing them banter and dance around their attraction, as the tension ramps up with each passing chapter. Aside from having great compatibility these two develop a beautiful emotional connection that is so raw and unfiltered that it is hard not to want to see them end up together.

I absolutely loved reading Between The Lines, this book was easily the best Oliver Hayle book that I have ever read and easily makes its way on to my top ten best reads of the year! Really there was nothing that this book lacked in, there was banter, steam, emotion, romance, and such a beautiful story of never giving up. Between The Lines is a MUST read!

The mysterious stranger I spent an unforgettable night with is the billionaire who ruined my life… and now I have to live with him.

He’s all green eyes, mussed hair and a dirty mouth. He’s good at strip poker, and even better at what comes after.

Two weeks later, I walk into a meeting in LA with the subject of my next memoir… and it’s him.

Aiden Hartman. My hot one-night-stand, and the billionaire owner of Titan Media, the company that ruined my life and made me change my name.

Now I need to spend two months at his side or risk losing my next contract. Living in his Bel-Air mansion, shadowing him daily, and writing his memoir.

Aiden invites me into his world of wealth. He brings me as his date to movie premieres and buys me expensive dresses. But he won’t tell me everything I need for the book.

We argue in his office, and I taunt him in bikinis by his pool. It’s a dangerous game we’re playing, especially when Aiden offers me a deal too good to refuse.

He’ll spill all his secrets… if I tell him mine.
