REVIEW: Billionaire’s Secret by Chantelle Shaw

In Billionaire’s Secret by Chantelle Shaw is the fourth part of the The Chatsfield series and it can be easily read as a standalone.

Nicolo Chatsfield has isolated himself from others after his accident. He now lives alone in his family’s crumbling estate and nobody–not even his family members can reach his tormented soul…Until a glimmer of hope enters his life in form of Sophie Ashdown.

Sophie has her own demons from the past and comes into Nicolo’s life on her boss’s orders. She has no intention of redeeming him—she just needs to persuade him to attend the Chatsfield shareholders’ meeting! But she’s not prepared for this darkly compelling Chatsfield, and soon Sophie is under Nicolo’s spell, easing his pain in the most pleasurable way!

Billionaire’s Secret by Chantelle Shaw is a well written romance about finding love when you least expect it.

Nicolo is a tormented hero who is not proud of himself because of his past actions. The reason for his isolation are many and he is unable to over come the actions of his past. He is independent and a billionaire in his own right. I found him to be an okay hero but I could not admire him much. The reasons for his wild past were mostly because of self pity and maybe if he had stopped feeling sorry for himself–especially when he had a supportive family, I could have admired him more. I felt more connected to Sophie and even admired her. Unlike Nicolo, she never took her life for granted. I loved her positivity and determination. The romance is a mixture of both physical and emotional intimacy which made the story more believable and enjoyable.

Overall, Billionaire’s Secret by Chantelle Shaw is a well written romance about forgetting pain and learning to love again against all odds.
