Blind Side by Kandi Steiner: Clay is a mess after having his high school sweet heart dump him, now the star football is spiraling and in a big way, which is how he finds himself, meeting up with the teams PR representative Giana. Thinking fast Clay comes up a brilliant plan that could help both himself as well as Giana, you see our shy PR wizz has been harbouring a secrete crush for one of the local musician for a while now but he just doesn’t seem to notice Giana. Which is where Clays brilliant plan comes into play, they should fake date! He can help Giana get some confidence and experience while she helps him make his ex jealous. It’s a win win really… well that is until the two of them actually start spending time together and some very real feelings begin to form… soon what start out as fake is beginning to feel very very real.
There is just something so appealing about a sports romance that gets me every time! I think it is also safe to say that this was Steiner’s most steamy book to date, I mean phew it got pretty hot in a few places, but this just worked so well with developing the connection between Clay and Giana.
These two characters could not be more perfect for each other, I loved the way they balanced each other out bring out side to each other that no one else could. Their chemistry and connection was of the chart hot, right from their first interaction you could already tell these two were going to be an absolute hit. I loved getting to see Giana go from this shy and timid girl into this brave woman that knows what she wants and goes after it. The thing that I loved the most about our girl Giana was that she was such a romance novel junkie! I think we can all relate to this one! I loved that she was so addicted to these steamy romance novels and that she wanted to get herself a hottie book boyfriend, which is totally what she lands up doing! She basically lives out one of her favourite tropes the fake turned real one, and I just ate this entire thing up!
Oh I just loved Clay, for all his best intentions this plan backfired but in the best way possible! I loved that he secretly wanted to win back his ex and what better way than to make her jealous, only to find that he really clicks with Giana. Gosh I just loved getting to see Clay take on this dominate role and really show Giana the ropes. These two really steamed up the pages with their fiery connection. Also can we take a moment to mention the ‘meow’ thing, I lowkey loved this and that he calls Giana kitten! The thing that made their relationship work so well was that they built this really open friendship first and in sharing they got closer, I really liked that they both had their own emotional baggage but this just brought them closer together. The nice thing about this book was that we got to see both of them grow together. Also talk about major swoon with Clay’s grand gesture, this is one you just have to read and swoon for yourself, no spoilers here!
Blind Side is a definite must read, this steamy hot fake turned real sports romance will have you swooning, facing your self and flipping those pages with gusto as Clay and Giana go from just friends to so much more!

The hottest college football safety in the nation just asked me to be his fake girlfriend.
And I just asked him to take my virginity.
Clay Johnson has the abs of Adonis and the deadly smirk of the devil, himself. There’s hardly a day he’s not headline material during football season, and never a day he isn’t a bullseye target for every girl on campus.
He used to be the easiest of all the players for me to wrangle as the Public Relations Coordinator, but after a nasty breakup with his high school sweetheart, he’s a mess.
And a complete pain in my ass.
We meet to discuss his behavior and review media relations standards. But when he witnesses how I fall to pieces in front of my guitar-toting crush, his wheels start turning. And he cooks up this absurd plan.
He helps me get noticed.
I help him make his ex jealous.
All by pretending to be in a relationship.
What he doesn’t realize is that this bookworm is a virgin, and far from versed in seducing a musician. So, to sweeten the deal, I convince him to help me — not just to get my crush’s attention, but to knock his socks off once I have it.
But the more I come unraveled at the hands of Clay Johnson, the more trouble I have discerning what’s fake and what’s undoubtedly real — particularly, the way my heart flutters every time that breathtaking man touches me.
We set the rules. We put the safeguards in place.
But they say rules are meant to be broken.
They probably should have added that hearts are, too.
