In Christakis’s Rebellious Wife (The Legacies of Powerful Men #2) by Lynne Graham, Betsy is leaving her devilishly handsome tycoon Nik Christakis who once meant the whole world to her. He made her escape her life as a waitress by marrying her but sadly, married life wasn’t the fantasy she’d envisioned. When their final meeting to discuss the divorce settlement ends in reckless passion, Betsy is left with two very unexpected consequences that will forever tie her 20523727to the man she was determined to forget!

Christakis’s Rebellious Wife by Lynne Graham is the second part in The Legacies of Powerful Men trilogy. This one tells the story of the second brother Nik Christakis and his separated wife, Betsy.

Christakis’s Rebellious Wife by Lynne Graham is a well written angsty romance (a reunion romance due to pregnancy trope). In terms of intensity, chemistry and conflict, this one was much better than the first book (Ravelli’s Defiant Bride by Lynne Graham). My problem was with the main characters who failed to impress me in any way.

Nik is a dark hero who is difficult to like because of his actions throughout the story. An unfortunate childhood is the reason given for his insufferable attitude but by the time the explanation came I was already frustrated with him. Betsy is a not a rebellious character as the title suggests because she never does anything substantial except sue Nik for alimony and throw him out of the house. The few times she manages to defend herself were not enough for me. If the characters would have clicked then this book would have been a sure winner for me.

Overall, Christakis’s Rebellious Wife by Lynne Graham is a well written romance which has the right amount of angst and intensity. If you like meek virgin heroines and super dark alpha heroes then you may like this one.

I remember from your earlier comments on another book review that you are not a fan of Pregnant reunion romance… 🙂
