Christmas with a SEAL by Tawny Weber: Francesa, Frankie, Silvera is the housekeepers granddaughter and the resident wild child. Always doing things a bit out of the ordinary, maybe a bit off the beaten path as well, she somehow managed to make it to adulthood. Frankie is a bit in the self defeatist mode though and somehow manages to sabotage herself without even trying, so now it’s almost as if she doesn’t expect anything to last so why not live for the moment?
Phillip Banks, call sign Sir, is a SEAL or at least he was till he was captured; now he’s not really sure what he is. His commanders know though that he needs to get away for a while and rediscover himself after this setback and see if he’s ready to be a SEAL again. So after his sister’s wedding and a mind blowing evening of great sex he is sent back home and to teach at the naval academy while his team’s next mission is taken care of.
What happens when Sir figures out his one nightstand is really his housekeeper’s wild child granddaughter? Can Frankie help to mellow Sir? Will Sir give Frankie back her piece of mind and teach her that she is allowed to be happy?
This book is part of Ms. Weber’s SEAL series and while it can be read as a standalone is much better if read as a part of the series, especially A SEAL’s Fantasy. This novel was a bit different than Ms. Weber’s other SEAL novels as it focused primarily on the healing of Sir and he was definitely the main focus of the story. It was interesting to read a book focused so much on how changes were affecting him and watching him grow throughout the novel. This is a good book, some heat and an off beat romance with two very different hearts involved.

Thanks for the review, Valerie. I love wounded warriors, so this sounds like a book for me. I also love Tawny’s stories. 🙂

I just picked this one up. Looking forward to reading it. Glad you said reading the other books would be helpful. I have read the first 2 or 3 in the series, but need to catch up. (as usual!)
