REVIEW: Cowboys For Christmas by Liz Talley, Kim Law and Terri Osburn

Cowboys For Christmas are three stories that take place concurrently. I LOVE how the three authors managed to weave the stories together effortlessly with great flow. Cowboy’s For Christmas is fast paced and thoroughly entertaining. Having the three different POV’s through three stories added a lot of depth to an already very enjoyable read.

The relationship of the friends is tight, and I liked how the authors showed us not only who they are today, but who they were through glimpses of their past.

In Love Me, Cowboy by Terri Osburn, Claire’s best friend is getting married. As part of the wedding party, it is inevitable that Claire will run into her friend’s younger brother Tyler. The same man she once had an incredible night with, but snuck off from before she could see the look in his eyes the morning after. When she literally does run into him, that scorching spark is still there. But Claire is very insecure and has made some major assumptions about Tyler. She has no intention of putting her heart on the line, despite what she really feels.. Tyler has been in love with Claire forever it seems like, and he knows his feelings are real. Will Claire give him the chance he wants with her?

Love Me, Cowboy is a great opening to Cowboy’s For Christmas. Terri quickly drew me in with her smooth writing, great plot and entertaining characters. She manages to pack a lot of emotion and family dynamics into Love Me, Cowboy in a way that it all fits together and doesn’t seem rushed. In a short time,Terri managed to make me really care for Claire. The inner conflict Claire goes through makes her relatable, and the family issues at times made me want to scream! I really enjoyed how she brought Tyler and Claire together, and how with time past maybe this time they’ll have a chance together.

In Kiss Me, Cowboy by Liz Talley, Georgia has sworn off cowboys and Texas. She comes from a completely different background than her two best friends, and despite her achievements she still lacks self confidence. Back for her best friends wedding, she is not expecting to meet someone like Reed. Someone who sees all the good in her, someone who wants her. The chemistry is sizzling between Reed and Liz, but Liz fights it, even as Reed shows her that coming home doesn’t mean failure. He makes her want more, but is she ready to risk it?

Fast paced and heart felt, Kiss Me, Cowboy compliments Love Me, Cowboy perfectly while at the same time adding another dimension to Cowboy’s For Christmas. I really liked how Reed was with Georgia, patient but not giving up on someone who does not want to be caught! Humorous and heart felt, Liz gives us a couple of characters who made me care, hoping Georgia would give in to her heart.

In Marry Me, Cowboy by Kim Law, Mary Catherine is set to have a Christmas wedding to the perfect man. But is he the perfect man for her? She’s known him forever and they are great friends…but she is struggling as her heart tries to over ride her mind. The past is not really in the past for Mary Catherine, and her heart is not in her future. Will she make the right choice for her before it’s too late?

There are even more family dynamics and pressures in Marry Me, Cowboy, and they add to the struggle that Mary Catherine is feeling. I think Kim wrote this in well. In this day and age I found the situation a bit unbelievable, but Kim turned it into a love story that pulled at my heart. I loved the relationship that Mary Catherine has with her girl friends, and how they support her what ever she does.

Overall Impression: The romance is hot throughout Cowboy’s For Christmas, and these three ladies just might find they are three times lucky this Christmas. With a mix of just about everything romance and relationship wise, Cowboy’s For Christmas is a book I’d highly recommend to any romance reader looking for a fast escape into small town loving at Christmas.
