Dear Grumpy Boss by Julia Wolf: After having her heart broken Elise does what anyone would, head home. There really is no place better than home to regroup and get yourself together again and with a bit of help from her older brother Elliot, she is well on her way to getting her life back on track all she has to do now is continue to avoid her brothers best friend Weston Aldrich, who also so happens to be her new boss. Well this should be easy enough seeing as Elise is just one of the many copywriters at Andes Inc and Weston is all the way up on the top floor in his CEOs office. Should be a piece of cake, right? Well Weston seems to have other idea on this matter, it would seem that he is everywhere that Elise is, and now he has scheduled them to go away on a business trip together!

Between a few stolen touches and some very frenzied kisses things between Elise and Weston begin to heat up but can anything actually come off their feelings? Getting involved with her brothers best friend really is one rule that shouldn’t be broken…

Office romance, check. Brothers best friend romance, check. Alpha hero, double check. Dear Grumpy Boss was a fast paced, cute romance was easy to get invested in and a breeze to read. This book was the perfect mix of angsty goodness, loads of steam and loads of giggles. I just love the brothers best friend trope, not only is it deliciously forbidden but I love that there is a sense of shared history to work off.

I absolutely loved Elise! She was one snarky, sassy lady and I just loved that she was always ready to stand up for herself. Even though she wasn’t one for confrontations and drama she never shied away from being heard. I loved that she embraced her curves and was confident in her own body. I really enjoyed getting to see her learn to stand up for what she wanted even if it meant having a bit of drama. She really was a great leading lady. As for Weston, well he truly was a grumpy hero and I actually really liked it! He was totally taken with Elise, she was his main focus at all times to the point that he could be a bit controlling. I will say that he was kind of a mess on more than a few occasions but boy does he work to get her forgiveness.

Goodness the chemistry between Elise and Weston was hot!! There really was no question about whether these two wanted each other, they kind of just fitted together like two pieces of a puzzle. I loved the angsty pull and push that they had going on between them, this only made the book all the more addictive to read. I liked that they both had to find their footing in this relationship and that they both had to really grow together to find their true happily ever after.

If you are looking for a steamy office romance mixed with the forbidden element of a brothers best friend trope then Dear Grumpy Boss is defiantly the book for you!

I’ve spent the better part of the last few years successfully avoiding my brother’s best friend, Weston Aldrich.

As CEO of Andes Inc, the infuriatingly handsome and incessantly grumpy Weston also happens to be my new boss.

It shouldn’t have been hard to continue avoiding him. After all, he’s on the executive floor and I’m one of many copywriters.

Weston has his own ideas about how things should go between us. He’s in my emails, leaving notes on my desk, and as if that’s not enough, he arranges for me to accompany him on a business trip.

That leads to stolen touches, frenzied kisses, and the undeniable need to work each other out of our systems. That always works, right?

Except now that I know what it feels like to have Weston Aldrich appreciate every inch of my abundant curves, avoiding him is impossible.

But he’s my brother’s best friend.
And a workaholic.
We have to stop.
And we will.
Soon.
Just…not yet.
