From Paradise…to Pregnant! by Kandy Shepherd: Is it possible for two complete opposites to connect for a real future? Or is it only possible for those two to indulge when fearful of the future?

Zoe Summers had an incredibly wonderful childhood, not perfect, but filled with love. That was until her parents died. At that point her world shifted and nothing was the same, new school, new people and no love. Then she met him and yes she had a crush and yes she knew he didn’t but he was her friend, right? Well up until that one day. From that day on she was determined to be different and more focused and now eight years later she was fitting in and if not happy, content.

Mitch Bailey was always the sportsman. That was his role in the family and his allotment in life. He was the golden boy in school, unless it dealt with schoolwork, specifically English. So when he met a girl willing to help him he to a backwater channel and used her. Then he still failed and took it out on her when she had nothing to do with it, but he was angry and she was easy to blame. Now eight years later and a professional soccer player he still regretted that day.

On vacation in Bali Zoe and Mitch never thought they would meet again but an earthquake changed that. Now a bit fearful for the future they reconnect. Would this be a one-time connection though? Or would they want more from each other?

Ms. Shepherd has written a complex and wonderful romance that is nothing like anything else. The plot is full of twists and complexities. The characters are well developed and fascinating. True there is little relatable for the every day person, but the fantasy is written so well it’s easy to believe that it could really happen and that the story could be really true. This is definitely a smile worth novel that will have you enjoying your time spent with it.
