In Georgie’s Heart by Kathryn Brocato, Georgeanne Hartfield is a receptionist and secretary for a doctor’s office. But before that, she wrote what is now the bestselling non-fiction book Faking It. Only she wrote it after her divorce as a way to find the answers that she could not find in her marriage. What she did not expect was for it to become a bestseller, she thought that her book would at the most sell a few copies.
Now she must hear about it everywhere she goes, and hear passages from it at work from her co-workers. What they don’t know is that she wrote the book, and she will do everything she can to keep everyone from finding out the truth. Even if her face gives away clues.
Zane Bryant is a doctor, but he also happens to be the twin of a famous movie star. One whom he didn’t know about until he was asked by people to give them an autograph, and was led to find his long lost twin, who was given in adoption to a different family. He may not have the charm that his brother has, but he certainly has the looks. He just wishes that he can find a way to use them to his advantage when he meets Georgie.
Georgie is immediately attracted to Zane, but she knows that with her curves she is not as attractive as the thinner women out there, no matter how many times her co-workers tell her otherwise. So when Zane starts hitting on her she beliefs that she is mistaken until he makes his intentions quite clear. But knowing that he finds her attractive will not erase the fears that her ex-husband created in her self esteem and that led her to write Faking It to begin with.
It will take lots of mental strength to face some truths, and having the possibility of having to face them in front of the cameras for the entire US audience is not something that Georgie believes that she can face. But she is not the only that will have to face some truths and fears for Zane will have to face a couple insecurities too if he wants to make sure to keep Georgie by his side for the rest of his life.
If you want a fun, sweet romance that will make you laugh and think what’s really behind Georgie’s book Faking It, don’t miss Georgie’s Heart by Kathryn Brocato.
